TMZ was in Century City, Calif. as Brit Brit came -- and went -- from her scheduled deposition today. Why the rush?!


As K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan explained, the depo was originally scheduled to go from 9:45 to 11:45 AM. It poses a little bit of a problem when the person who is to be deposed shows up almost two hours late! Kaplan says the proceedings started around 11:32 AM and he was able to fire off a few questions before having to end at the scheduled time -- thirteen minutes later. So much for asking deep questions!

So why was the popwreck so tardy? He wouldn't say. But he did say another depo has been scheduled. As for seeking sanctions against her, Kaplan says he hasn't yet decided. But he might, if her behavior caused his client -- K-Fed -- any undue "hardships." Hasn't she already?

why should kfed just give up and get a job...he OBVIOUSLY has the upper hand in the custody case. britney is always going to be giving him money, for the next 16 or 17 years(if shes doesnt OD or something before then), because i really doubt she will ever have full custody of her children. she cant even show up for things that directly affect her children on time. she misses her depo last time because she was 'sick' but was out running around LA all night. shes pathetic, what judge would ever say "well britney, i believe you when you say you only act so crazy because the paparazzi are watching you every second, you really are a good mom, even though youve missed several appointments regarding your case, we think youre responsible enough to take care of these kids" NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. kfed is financially set for a while...why give up now? britney makes things worse for herself every single day of her life.

84. Britney is late for appointments because she has around 200 Paparazzi hanging around her and her car all the time. I'm amazed that she is still holding up at all. Imagine having to support your mother for your whole life, then having to support nasty loser K-Dud and his sleazy lawyers. No wonder she is bonkers.
I think Britney loves her children. I think K-Dud loves Britney's money.

The Britney fans/Kevin & Kaplan haters don't understand that the only legal fees that Britney paid for Kevin were a one time court award based on the disparity of their incomes. Kevin got thousands less than he was seeking. Britney is causing Kevin a hardship. He has to pay for his lawyer's, court reporter and the two "observers" time. Kaplan has to go to court again to collect on these wasted legal fees ... solely caused by Britney.

87. I would love to hang out with Britney! Her assistant has the best job! I have NEVER been a Britney fan. But I love what she has become (an independent woman). She was so sheltered when she was young, she was even told to lie about her virginity to protect her image. Now she does what she wants when she wants. She's Britney, bitch!

90. She's paying Kaplan, so if she's late, she has to pay for the time he sat there waiting for her. She's also paying for the time he spends giving his inane press conferences.

Come to think of it, maybe the fact that she has to pay her dumbass ex's lawyer is why she has so much contempt for this entire process. She should never have married that loser in the first place. He just used her, and she'll end up supporting him for the rest of his life. Considering that he has kids with another woman too, and he doesn't support those children (or maybe he does, but if so he has to do so with Britney's money since he's a no-talent hack with no income) maybe the court needs to order him to get a vasectomy.
