In your first year, you should abstain from dating to focus on yourself and the "new you" but it doesn't always happen. What's the difference between drinking sparkling wine out of a wine bottle and the real thing? I feel sad for her. There are so many other options for her. She needs to be accountable and serious, and that involves not doing what she's doing in the video, whatever it is

Oh, and there's no such thing as "near beer"; no beer is without alcohol. Non alcoholic drinks are juices, water, and soda.

23. Gee Chris, #14, I don't remember being an alcoholic drug addict fresh out of rehab when I was that age. Maybe you were...since you claim she's not doing anything different than you had done at that age. Oh, but she got caught...that's right. By the police, after crashing a car, endangering the lives of others, and generally destroying her career. No problem! I'm sure AA allows a little slip now and then...a slug of this, slug of that. Who's to deny someone their New Year's Eve fun?? As long as everyone has fun. That's what life is all about. Fun without responsibility.

25. Could be fake champagne. It's bottled similarly to the real thing. Anyway, don't most folks have a salutory drink or two at New Year's Eve? I didn't read anywhere that she was an alcoholic, even if this is real booze. I thought excess everything was her problem. Moderation usually comes with maturity, or marriage and children, and the fact that your body just can't take doing it anymore while trying to balance making a living. Hangovers are brutal past a certain age, and can last for a week sometimes whether you have two or six.
