K-Fed's Lawyer Headed to Court

TMZ has learned K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, will scurry to court this morning at 8:30 AM and ask the Commissioner to strip Brit of her visitation rights -- at least for now. We're told there may not be much of an argument and it's almost certain the Commish will see Kaplan's point. Attorney Tara Scott from the law firm of Trope and Trope will represent Brit -- awkward, since the firm has asked to withdraw as counsel.

As we reported, Britney is at Cedars-Sinai on a "5150 hold," meaning there's evidence she's a danger to herself or others -- others as in her kids.

Here's what's interesting. We've been reporting for several months now that Britney doesn't have a drug or alcohol problem -- that her instability is mental, not chemical. Well placed sources tell us what happened last night is not rooted in drugs, and that of late, her mental state has deteriorated to the point that what happened at her home was not unexpected.

I'm just waiting for the people to start blaming the fans for this mess. So far in these comments and on other sites, I've read that it's her monitor's fault, her parents' fault, kfed's fault, etc. But fact is, it's HER fault. Period.

If this were any of us, you know the peon hicks who wear powder blue tuxes to bed, it'd be our fault. We'd be crucified for not seeing the signs in advance. No one was to blame but ourselves and we'd all end up spending significant times in jail/a psycho ward.

So why are the rules different for Brit Brit?

Pump her with drugs, lock her up for a while and she'll be back "singing" crappy pop songs and putting out her classic videos (you know stripper pole+body double+paparazzi) and popping out babies with anyone who gets sucked into that mess. Never fear! TMZ will cover it all!

78. Dr. Keith Ablow is on TV right now talking about what should happen and he is talking about getting her evaluated by the mental health system. She may be using drugs to self medicate but you guys are just being cruel. She has been allowed behave this way and that is why it is getting worse. I mean she has mental issues, why else would she be smiling in the freaking ambulance???? C'MON People

You are so right, everyone has been so mean and judgmental. Look at brit ate paris, calling names. When you are bi-polar, you cannot take meds while pregnant. I have worked with bi-polars after giving birth and it is not pretty. Hormones are raging and most have to go into hospital to get their meds regulated. But this girl became pregnant again almost immediately after giving birth. So her hormones are raging out of control, two back to back pregnancies, not being able to take meds while pregnant, going through this horrible divorce, a husband who is clearly after her money, being everyone's meal ticket, taking care of two babies and constantly being under the pap's eyes. WHO WOULDN'T LOSE IT?

87. It is so sad, You get irritated with her about her behavior then I feel sorry for her because I know she needs help.
I was never,ever an Anna Niclole fan, but when she was found dead it was very sad. You wish someone could have steped in & saved her & I wish the same for Brit before it is too late.

What confuses me is why there are still all these Britney supporters out there, blaming the paparazzi, blaming the media, talking about "all that poor, poor Britney is going through at this difficult time". This is not a sudden thing. Over the past few years, she cas carefully cultivated this image of hers, made sure every darn photog within 100 mi. radius of her knew exactly what she was doing and when she'd be doing it...and when it finally took over her life, now these people are boo-hooing about poor, sad, lonely and troubled Britney. I'm sorry, but this is her doing, nobody else's. The fact that she brought children into the picture is truly the only thing that makes it tragic. The kids turned out to be an accessory, just like a big designer purse...and once they stopped being tiny and cute, they lost her interest. I hope they get lots and lots of therapy to shake off this awful experience.

89. Hopefully this will allow the courts to be able to order mental help. She's clearly not in her right mind. And i'm really tired of everyone saying that KFed only wants the money. If you'll pay attention, you never see pics of him out with the kids, or out when he's supposed to be with them. You only catch him partying when Brit's supposed to have them. He's obviously a good father and loves his kids. He deserves full custody. And if Britney gets to have those kids back, the judge is basically ordering their death sentence. And the way Brit's going, I'd say we're lucky if she makes it another month. Good luck Brit. I hope you can get the help you desperately need, before it's to late......

90. I think it would be wise for her to be committed for a period of time. It is evident that she has major daily living skills issues that have affected her life and others around her. A good place where Britney could receive help is in a California State Mental Hospital. She will recieve a diagnosis, the proper care, and treatment for her disorder. They will teach her how to function in life as well as possible with the condition(s). Britney can even pay for her housing, food and treetment.
