422. Does this girl have anyone who isn't profiting from her, who is compassionate and truly seeking her well-being? These young girls who become so famous so quickly, then most certainly have self-doubts about whether they deserve it, or a concern over how long it will last, or if they are good enough - all the same thoughts all of us have - without anybody truly to talk to that won't write a book or go on TV to exploit it. I certainly feel for this girl.

423. Dr. Phil is not acting in an ethical way, he should be sanctioned by the licensing board. Her information is confidential. And unless she signed permission for Dr. Phil to visit her, then she should sue the hospital for breaking confidentiality.
He has violated HIPPA for show ratings. Shame on him, he knows better. He is an embarassment to those of us in the field, and one more person who is cares about this obviously disturbed young woman because of the ratings she will bring to the show.

425. Some one needs to help her,If they wish to use Dr.Phil,let them. I hope it works out for her and her kids.As far has her xhusband he needs to stay by her no mater what for those kids sake and hers.

426. Dr. Phil can atone for his greed & bad judgement re: Spears;

he did tell public that she still needed help & that the descision by Cedar's doctors to release her was a mistake.

It would be a wonderful thing for Dr. Phil to have a show on the bad ethics of Mental Health Care today; especially the neglegence of truly ill patients. So many families suffer when loved ones can not make good decisions for themselves. This is a woman who threatend to harm her own children for 3 hrs! How much more "harm" & "danger to others" do the Cedar's doctor(s) need to qualify a commitment?

Brittany has had terrible care all along, starting w/publicity-hungry Promises; whose Dr. betrayed her confidentiality; to the present episode. She may be a very difficult, pesky pt; from hell -- that is what a psychiatrist is there to treat. What Cedars did in terms of displaying blatant poor judgment; could be very harmful to a large number of people needing aggresive intervention!

It is time for Dr. Phil to do something really decent for the "Behavioral Health" scene; something that would help everyone. Time to make Cedars & Promisies & all facilities like theirs accountble for the care they give!

427. I can understand her not trusting her parents and those around her durning this time of needing help. They have been selling her out for years. Her mother would only look for the highest bidder once she had her commited. It's all about fame, ratings or money. She has become a product for those that stand to make something off her and then they wonder why she is running. Like Dr Phil a personal friend of Lynne's, Britney has issues with her mother so how can she trust him when he has been in the media praising Lynne? He only wanted to help her on his show as long as his cameras were running and this was the best the mother could do in getting Britney help? Why is he going public even giving a press release saying personal stuff about her? All of this has become like a cheap circus with Lynne being the clown. She needs to stop being a manager and become a real mother and stop sucking the life out of them. The children have been supporting Lynne since they were very young children.
