Brit -- Free of Drugs and Alcohol at Cedars?

31. Something really fishy is going on with the police that were quoted first as saying 'appears she was on a substance of kind', then retracting it. The Britney camp that was there at the house stated she had taken alcohol and prescription drugs and now some unknown source from Cedars of Sinai saying she was clean? She was locked in the closet or bathroom for several hours and in restraints for several more hours--the alcohol and or prescription or illegal drugs could have been out of her system by the time they gave her a urine and or blood test.

32. Firefighters Do NOT put you in restraints unless you are really causing MAJOR PROBLEMS!!!! That is a fact of liability! People that really go ballistic sometimes get what is known as a 'BACKBOARD SANDWICH' ( it's not to torture people, but it involves 2 backboards and a lot of duct tape- and it totally sucks to do it to anyone, but sometimes it is necessary). I wonder how close she was to that? Oh, no, she's perfectly sane?!? Too bad drugs weren't an excuse.

35. in your face!!!! this girl didnt have problems til kfed came around!! did you see how smug he looked in the car when his ex wife was being taken to the hospital? he sees dollar signs and thats the only reason he wants those kids so bad!!! i cant understand why they were even fighting for custody to begin with, britney did nothing wrong for this f**k face to want to take the kids from her! why couldnt he share equal custody of those kids? its all because he wants britney to send him a big fat check every month in child support so he can sit back and live the good life off of his babys mommy!!! it no wonder the girl has gone off the deep end! imagine this all happening to you in the public eye with everyone calling you a bad mother all the while kfed looks like the stand up guy all because hes going to court on time, well duh of course he is ,he wants $$$$!!! hes a greedy no life jerk and if he really loved those kids he would allow there mother to take part in raising them and i guarantee if he wasnt doing all this to her she wouldnt be the way she is right now! hes the one who made her snap and he knows it too... my ex tried to do the same thing to me and when he failed he disappeared out of his kids life... just remember no one is perfect and if it was you under scrutiny about how you raised your kids would you pass the test?

38. Her problem isn't drugs, its a break down.. She is watched doing everything..That can get to a person when they are going through such devasting moments of their lives.And to have it captured on tape for the whole world to see. come on we know that the papz are known for tormenting celebs. Brit is just there newest princess diana.. They killed her!!

What she does have is a lot of money to have her people cover her ass.
What I will give her credit for is the ability to stay on top of the scandal press all of 2007 and possibly 2008 if she lives through it. Brilliant for a drug addict.

41. Hey #35 'julie': "In your face??" How can you actually defend this useless piece of garbage?? There is nothing that is "in your face" about this. Wake up & realize that there is NO excuses for the way that she is. I realize that it must be easy to blame other people like K-fed for the way that she is, but the reality of it is is that she is an ADULT who makes her own decisions! Sorry to burst your bubble about your precious Britney. I feel sorry for aybody who defends her. What she has put her children through is heartbreaking.

42. Britney is an alcoholic and a drug addict who also has been diagnosed with a mental illness, most likely bi-polar (manic-depressive). Both addictions and bi-polar are diseases and they are both manageable. Both are a life-long disability. There are no quick fixes for either on. How would you like to have the world watching everything you did in your sickness?

Bi-polar is treatable with very good medication now a days, that gives the person taking them a great life. The medications do take a few months to start working their wonders. Britney will also require regular visits to a psychiatrist. Once she has her bi-polar under control she will more in control of herself.

I have bi-polar myself. I can remember shouting at my children over nothing but, at the same time thinking this is not right. But, I couldn’t stop myself. During a depressive period I kept all the curtains closed in the house and did very little housework. I hardly ever got dressed. During my manic periods I was very productive, happy, bright, and creative. These mood swings could be slow or very rapid. I didn’t know when they would change, I had no control. Now that I am on medication and seeing my psychiatrist regularly I am a more well-rounded person, more contented.

Now to Britney’s addictions. These star ‘rehab’ centers obviously are doing no good, just making money off sick people. Look at how many stars go back to drinking and/or drugs after they leave one of these places. The best thing is Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotic Anonymous, along with her psychiatrists help.

Don’t condemn Britney. Understand her. Don’t judge her until you have been in her position. It must be awful to live in a fishbowl.
