35. As a clinical therapist, I am embarrassed by both the "doctors". These are the kinds of people who discredit real mental health professionals. Their nonesense and the movies/TV dramas that show psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists having inappropriate relationships with the mental health "professionals". She also got rich with her psychpop nonesense. And people mock Sigmund Freud. At least he was a REAL DOCTOR. What next? Dr. Oprah. Oh, that's right,,,,she's busy with electing a president, and her African Kingdom. What charlatans.

Britney should sue Cedars-Sinai for allowing an psychologist with NO HOSPITAL PRIVILEGES free access to her room without her consent!! HACKS. 40. Neither Dr. Phil nor Joyce Brothers is a licensed psychologist. In fact, Joyce got expelled from the American Psychological Association for unethical practice. Dr. Phil should be reported to the state board in California for practicing without a license in that state.

42. You people need to get your facts straight. Dr. Phil is a friend of Britney's parents and her father asked him to talk to Britney to convince her not to check out of the hospital. It would be unethical if he didn't know them and went to see her on his own but that's not what happened. Her father probably thought a professional could talk some sense in her but at this stage she's not listening to anyone. Dr. Phil is right it would have looked better for her in her child custody case if it looked like he wanted help and was trying to get better. She should have listened to Dr. Phil because she's avoiding the inevitable, she's going to end up back in the hospital, in jail, killing someone with her bad driving, or killing herself. Everybody talking bad about him but at least he's trying to do something to help someone who won't help themself. When she have her final breakdown at least he won't feel guilty because at least he tried. Someone had to step in, I DON'T SEE ANYONE ELSE TELLING IT LIKE IT IS. SHE DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT BUT SHE HAD TO BE TOLD.

44. #39 comments are correct Dr. Phil is neither a licensed psychologist nor a Doctor at all... It is a self proclaimed title or should I say the title Oprah gave him to promote his first book on her show which made him a very rich man which turned into his own show. He has admitted this fact many times on his show and in interviews that he is not a doctor at all nor is he formally educated in the field of psychology. Being in the entertainment business for over 20 years if you believe ANYTHING you see on TV you are not living in reality. It is ALL MEDIA SPIN... The news, reality shows, talk shows, etc. If you are talked about... good or bad in the media... then you make money... if you are the media talking about the latest gossip... you make money... if you are a photographer with the right celeb shot... you make money... if it is your photo or video that is sold... you make money off interviews and selling your story... this is how show business is run PERIOD. It is like watching a train wreck of celebrity everyday… you can’t look away because it is far more interesting then most of our everyday hum drum routine lives… to watch people that should be happy… that “have it all” and wasting everything to flush it all down the toilet with alcohol, drugs, self defecation, insecurities, jealousies, etc. It makes us all feel that our lives can not be all that bad thus we feel better about ourselves… and some may ask ourselves… If we had all that comes with celebrity… would you want it? Would we want to be stalked everyday by the paparazzi? Would we feel safe in our own homes? Would we turn to drugs and alcohol to make all the fears go away? Living everyday if you gain a pound or a wrinkle you will be degraded in the trades the next day… fearing time and food… your enemy… YOU… your own worse enemy… All for the price of FAME, FALSE LOVE, and MONEY.
