I dropped out at 16 years old only to find out that it was not acceptable, and very hard to get employment, so I perservered and went back to High School as an adult and earned my Diploma and other credentials. I was not pregnant either, but I was traumatised by an horriffic murder of my best friend @ 16. Life is still difficult even with adult education. If only she or they could make a public announcement on the whole family problems to all who are concerned, I know I would listen, but they only make PAID public announcements but they do not care what anyone thinks except for Benjamin, Alexander, George, and whomever else is faced on currency. Just think of the million dollars US paid Jamie for her exclusive. She is sittin pretty now and don't care about you or me or your children or my children only her own ass so keep her off the tele until well after she popps...

245. She is probably getting her GED because she was either tutored or homeschooled. They HAVE to get a GED. It's their 'diploma'. My step daughter was homeschooled and had to get a GED so she could prove she attended school and met all the state's requirements. JL is probably doing the same. And most homeschoolers/tutored kids actually are accelerated learners so they graduate earlier than 'traditional' students. They aren't hindered by the 'school system' that makes students take a semester of home ec or shop. If taught properly (as she probably was on the Zoey lot) she probably IS ready to take her GED.

Now go back to you nit-picking and nose-picking and let this girl move on!

246. Dianne, an interesting fact to take into consideration is that there was a study done that 50%+ or so of high school graduates could not pass the GED test. It is a difficult test.

247. On one hand we should all hope she has a healthy baby and life with much more happiness than sorrow. On the other hand Jamie Lynn is living proof the Women of Jamie Lynns generation have been polarized by the fallout of feminism which made false promises of "NEW & IMPROVED HAPPINESS" in exchange for Women organizing and destroying the "OLD HAPPINESS" of traditional male family values. On the other hand someone needs to tell Jamie Lynn C-section cut & gut is the new feminist natural birth and many people need the income and employment. 40 IS THE NEW 14, MENOPAUSE IS THE NEW PUBERTY and Jamie Lynns generation is dealing a huge blow to these new false values. 250. To all the morons criticizing Jamie Lynn for not using contraception: Did it ever occur to you that maybe her fateful sexual encounter was UNPLANNED?! She could very well have intended to be abstinent, but we all know what can happen in the "heat of the moment." People only take birth control or buy condoms if they're PLANNING on having sex, and in all probability, Jamie Lynn WASN'T. Idiots.

252. I can't believe there are so many people who aren't rooting for JL to get through this with a happy healthy baby. And it astounds me that so call Christians are the loudest against her. I AM a Christian and proud of it. But, I also realize that we are humans and make mistakes. God forgives us if we ask and God is the judge and jury NOT us humans. Sure, in a perfect world, all the JL's would be 24, married and through school BEFORE they get pregnant. But honestly, as a Christian, I am totally open to and understanding of the humaness of this situation. And I am humbled by ALL the teens who chose to bear the brunt and anger of the society who condemns them for getting pregnant and then for keeping the child. Rather they should all toss their babies in the trash? Sure, teen parents (notice I didn't just say mothers?) have a hard row to hoe, but it can be done. It's been done for MANY YEARS. She isn't the first teen to get pregnant before marriage or even graduation, and she won't be the last. I say, quit judging her. She's just a girl who will have to grow up pretty fast because her child will need her to. Pray for her and pray that she has a great support network around her so she doesn't fall apart like her sister has recently.

How sad for all you 'judgers' out there who can't possibly see your own faults, yet you can so clearly see the faults of people you don't even know.

253. #32 is right! People do get pregnant while using birth control. People just don't like to hear "if you play...you'll eventually pay". No birth control method is iron clad. Only one way to ensure not getting pregnant - abstinence.
