Sources tell TMZ that Brit's dad, Jamie, has officially bailed on Dr. Phil -- he wants nothing to do with the intervention show.

We're told it's still uncertain whether Brit's momma, Lynne, will appear. But the show that created such a buzz over the weekend seems like it's suddenly hurting for guests.

62. I don't believe there is anyone around her, except perhaps her dad that isn't trying to make money and fame off Britney. I've never seen so many people that claim to love someone do everything they can to take what SHE has earned away from her and control it themselves. Her mother is the worst!! And it is good to see her dad stepping up to the plate.

65. Regarding DR Phil expounding on Brittany's trials: Is DR Phil a real doctor? Is he aware of HIPPA laws, which are privacy laws protecting all privileged and confidential medical information. i doubt she has given him permission to release content of her conversations with him . I am a nurse, and if i talked as loosely as he does, I would be fired from my position, and maybe even punished by the board of nursing. if he is a real doctor, maybe he should act like one for a change. I bet he is already writing his next book!
