Eminem -- Not Slim Anymore; Big Health Scare!

Eminem TMZ has learned Eminem was rushed to the hospital over the holidays.

Hospital sources tell TMZ Em was taken to a Detroit-area hospital for a serious heart condition and severe pneumonia. Sources tell TMZ Em's weight has ballooned to 212 lbs.

Eminem 's publicist told TMZ: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."

Great Post Anon. I have a 16 year old son that has had breathing problems since birth. He has to have shots of Prednisone on a regular bases. He is almost 6 feet tall and weighs 226. He has dealt with ignorant people making an issue of his weight most of his life.

Praying for a quick recovery for Eminem. Can’t wait to hear some new music from him!!

110. I'm a big fan of eminem, Great lyrics and in his own field he is a mastermind. Well I am a doctor here in southern california, and this is my take. He must have caught a flu that turned into pneumonia, heart problems can go along with flu/pneumonia, maybe he was in A-FIB or his BP was high.Number 1, What type of heart condition does he have?, What type of testing went on at the hospital?, Is there any recent pics of him at 212lbs?, I beileve he was anywhere from 148lbs to 160lbs, so thats a 42 to 55 pound weight gain. I dont believe this is due to steroids, since he was only in the hospital very recently, now if they did issue steroids to him, then look for him to gain anywhere from 20-30 additional pounds, depending on the dose, that would bring him to 250lbs, watch outt.......update this with pics and medical facts. - Mr. Tenorio

118. IMHO, this is congestive heart failure. I'm a 30yo male diagnosed with the same thing a year ago. Many things, including pneumonia, can cause this disorder. The extra weight is retained water. While in the hospital, I lost 20lbs in less than 12hrs after taking a strong diuretic (Lasix). Give the guy a break. Heart disease is a PITA........

120. Poor Eminem. I feel so bad for that guy. He's a real turn around story from rags to riches and worst yet a mother who should be voted worst mother on the planet. If I recall correctly he's like 5'7 or 5'8. Not very tall. He went over board after his best friend died. Even his ex wife Kim made a statement to the effect he just lost all his senses after the death. I hope he comes back. Miss his music and videos and I'm not even a fan of rap (diehard metal head.)
