Cops to Brit: Stay Away from K-Fed!

Amidst all the insanity during her custody standoff, Britney Spears got slapped with a restraining order by the LAPD, reports People.

Brit was ordered to stay at least 100 feet from Kevin Federline, according to the "emergency protective order," which was issued to "stabilize the situation."

The order was confirmed by K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, and was enforced for five business days -- i.e., ending today. Kaplan didn't say whether he would extend it.

"In most cases," said an LAPD rep, "it's issued by officers when there's the possibility of imminent and immediate danger to the victim."

Alli Sims is swinging back at reports that say she heartlessly abandoned Britney and took a trip to NYC over the weekend, when Brit was hospitalized, to promote her reality show.

"These claims are ridiculous," Sims tells Us. "I had plans for a girls weekend, and my friends had already flown into town to meet up with me. ... I love Britney and care way more about her well-being than any of these strangers making these claims."

Meanwhile, Alli also says that any suggestion that her planned reality show has been canceled are untrue.

16. Cha-Ching! Did you hear that? Its was another bill to Britney from that leech attorney. Even in Britneys mental state even she knows that KFed's life isnt worth her going to jail...lol..

No matter the outcome in this Britney crap, Kevin Federline will alway be a bottom feeder. He has no talent and no way to make it in that industry. What floors me the most about him and his leech attorney are the fact that Britney has all in all destroyed her career at this point its gonna take a miracle to bring her back. Companys will not indorse her anymore, I doubt she really cares about making an album or going on tour, etc, so with all that what money shes got is it, pretty soon her $700-800,000 per month will run out. She wont be paying outlandish amounts of "child support" anymore because she will be broke. The way KFeds attorney is going it will be him ... not the kids that end up with her money. When the moneys gone... so is the attorney, because he doesnt care either way, for attorneys its about money.

23. Once again, the britards cannot understand what is plain and simple english - the restraining order is issued by the LAPD - do you understand? The police issue it on their own, and last time I checked K-Fed is not a police officer. Maybe in your spare time you can brush up on english comprehension skills and possibly throw in some extra time to learn the laws.

27. This "Cops to Brit: Stay Away from K-Fed" is BS! A "police" issued restraining order? Never heard of such a thing! Wonder what the ACLU would say about "police" issuing restrining orders? That flies in the face of "due process" and seems reminiscent of the old west days when the wild west town marshals ordered bad guys out of town by sundown on threat of arrest. But having a slightly more judicious division of legal powers these days, to deprive a person of "liberty" requires "due process," even if that liberty is to drive past a person's house or walk past a person on a sidewalk. And even a temporary emergency restraining order requires an "ex parte appearance" in court and be issued by a judge, and then that pending an "order to show cause" hearing to get a more permanent restraining order issued.

And if there is such a law in California allowing "police" to issue restraining orders, is a restraining order issued by the LAPD enforceable by other city municipalities in the county or enforceable by other counties in the state? I think not and I am sure an enforceable restraining order requires "due process" and be issued by a judge. Heaven help us when police bumpkins can abandon due process.
