Celebrity Justice
Britney's Last Chance

TMZ has learned that Monday's custody hearing could be one of the most important days in Britney Spears' life. We're told that although she is not legally required to make an appearance in court, Brit needs to face the judge to explain herself if she's got any hope of getting her kids back. Our sources tell us if she doesn't show, or is uncooperative, it could be curtains for her custody case. TMZ is at the courthouse this morning as metal detectors were put in place ... just in case.

What's more, police sources tell TMZ that Commissioner Scott Gordon will hear firsthand eyewitness accounts of last Thursday's breakdown from LAPD, firefighters and paramedics who were on scene. We're told they're not going to paint a pretty picture.

Also, we've learned the L.A County Sheriff's Department isn't taking any chances -- they're ready for anything. If Brit Brit loses it in court, they'll be there to "handle" the situation. Wear your heavy boots!

Stay tuned ...

16. Most important days Britney's life? She'll treat like an annoyance (Why do *I* have to be here? I'm Britney B*tch!)

She has continually shown disrespect for the court. She should not get back any sort of custody until she straightens up and does what is asked of her (and does it on time, the first time she is asked).

Of course, I'm sure she'll get something out Monday's court date (probably visitations again). The courts seem more interested in catering to Queen Britney's ego than doing what is best for S&J.

19. Crystal, #2...You have to know the children have already been harmed. Don't you think they are asking, "where's Mommie?"

20. She is a pretty girl. I pray their family can stick together. They are soooo cute on the show. And she recently joined an online millionaire&celeb dating site called wealthysoulmate.com.

22. I really doubt she will even show. She will probably go to Starbucks with her new boyfriend, and drive around L.A. some more. She won't even show at court when there isn't damaging evidence being presented. There is no way her crazy ass will show if somebody says something bad about her. I am sure she will try to get a continuation, due to cahnging attorneys. She probably doesn't even think that she is in danger of losing complete legal custody. I doubt she will even get anything other than a supervised visit, someplace at the court's discresion, like the Dept. of Social Services building. If you lock the court appointed monitor out of the house, it is unlikely you will get a second chance at home visits.

23. i'm sorry, but if you guys are going to continously report on your "knowledge" of things, we need sources.. how many articles have we read so far that were wrong... ? um, about 90%... i think we should just sit and wait until Monday, and not get your hopes up that something bad will happen. this IS a child custody matter, and i think the prying is unacceptable

25. She's in trouble. Will they want to know about this Adnan dude? If he's gonna be around the kids?

26. hmmm....I don't think she'll get another chance. Mr. Commish has given her so many chances and the latest is a biggie, I don't think he will this time. Not till she actually abides by the Court...and I don't see that happening. She probably throw a fit when she is told she has to do "this and that" in order to get her kids back.
I don't think she'll get anything on Monday...except her freedom.
Kiss the kiddies goodbye..

27. WINNER!!!!!-that was a good one...LOL
But seriously, this is it. If Britney wants her kids in her life, she still has a chance. She can show up to court with bags to the loony bin in hand. She can be honest with the judge, admit she's been screwing up big time, and humbly tell the judge that she's willing to go to any lengths to be with her babies. I really do hope she does it. Those kids deserve it.

28. I dont really blame her. Those kids are kinda ugly anyway

29. She doesn't give a rat's arse about those kids. Every time her visitation is restricted, she parties hearty. Get it over with and take the damned kids away from her. She Unfitney.

30. I really do feel for her - no one can argue the fact that she needs help. I don't think that taking the kids away from her is the way to go... whether she should have sole custody or not is another story - but the children should have the right to know/spend time with their mother on a regular basis. Shoot K-fed up and left his other children, which raises the question, why these children Kevin??? Hmmm... can you say ulterior motive?!?!?!
