31. I remember Chris Bowman well. I will never understand why young people turn to drugs and think they will have a better life. What a shame.

35. I am saddened by the human condition..people are so cruel to each other. 20 yrs. ago Christopher Bowman was a fantastic skater. He came into prominance during the ehd of the Brian Boitano/BrianOrser era. The beginning of Victor Petranko 's dominance on the world stage. He may never have reached the heights of Brian or Victor..but the man could skate. Anyone who follows the skating world would know who he is.
So, perhaps he did gain some weight..but trust me...any skater in their prime is just as strong, fit, and fast as any NFL star.
And skaters have it a lot harder...they have to be graceful and look good in a pair of tights. Any idiot can catch a football...but I don't think there are too many quarterbacks out there who could throw a triple axel!

36. No Way! Not a white person found dead in a hotel room...."drug related". Can't be. I just can not believe this. I thought that drug using dead people found in hotels were only Black! At least that is how people on TMZ make it seem when it is one of those black people. Do not inhale this as a racist comment, just the truth and something to think about. Ummmmm

37. Too bad so many people use the anonymity of comment boards to spew their hatred.
First off, as a few others have mentioned, Christopher Bowman was a phenomenal skater. He got the nickname "Showman" for very good reason.
Secondly, to the person on the first page who said it was someone else on Little House, sorry but it was indeed the very same Christopher Bowman.
It is very sad that he has died. He has a child, a daughter I believe, who grow up without him.

40. I think people in the skating community will say they are surprised it took this long. If it wasn't an overdose, it was probably related to all the drugs he took previously. You can't abuse your body like that and expect it to last.

42. This is tragic. I remember thinking back in '88 if he could only get his act together he'd be right up there with Boitano and Orser. He was quite talented. My condolences to his family and friends.

44. Chris WAS a good skater but he was partying at the height of his skating carreer. He kinda dropped out of sight after the Olympics and worked as a skating coach. To be honest there are a lot of "coaches" who have/had a party history. Too bad drugs robbed him of his carreer. The skating life is VERY hard.

45. Kudos to TMZ for keepin' it real!! Other media outlets wouldn't show what Bowman looked like today!! They'd rather show old photos of the guy, giving the false impression that it was a "shock" that he died. But the up-to-date photo on the right clearly let's you know that it wasn't a surprise at all. In any case, If you play with fire, you'll get burned. It's that simple.

I have no sympathy for people like this. Good riddence!! The world is a better place without fat drug addicts like this polluting it up for everybody else!! He had it all, and he chose to flush it down the toilet with dope. PATHETIC!!!
