Lawyers to Brit: Honey, You Gotta Show for This

Britney SpearsSources connected with the custody case tell TMZ Britney Spears has been strongly urged to attend tomorrow's hearing. We're told her lawyers know if she doesn't show, it will be curtains -- at least in the short term.

Sources tell us Brit's lawyers know Commissioner Scott Gordon expects Britney to address a number of issues surrounding the craziness at her home a week ago Thursday. In particular, commissioner Gordon wants Brit to explain why she violated the custody order by not turning the kids over to K-Fed's security guard at 7:00 that evening. The commissioner is also keenly interested in Britney's behavior that caused her to be placed on a 5150 hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Britney's lawyers know if she does not attend tomorrow's hearing, the Commish almost certainly will extend the ban on visitation until the April trial.

The wild card, of course, is Britney herself. She hates appearing in court and it's certainly possible she'll be a no-show on Monday. TMZ will stream live video at the courthouse tomorrow, so watch and see if Brit appears!

304. I have never been a Britney fan, but I kinda feel bad for her. She seem's so crazy. But has anybody besides me noticed that Britney really went bonkers after her nights out with Paris Hilton? Same with Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Ritchie, they do the night life with her and then, next you know they are going down hill. Maybe I'm wrong but just has always stuck out to me. I personally hope its just a mental issue with Britney and not drugs, if its drugs then I defitnely will not feel sorry for her ass.

309. meds are not in this court's jurisdiction. however, arresting her for child endangerment is.
i highly doubt she can come up with any kind of justification as to why she defied court orders and held her kid hostage...didn't i read that the police had filled out such a report but felt this judge would "be all over it"?

Even if she really has bipolor disorder, it doesn't make a person retarded. That's her own doing.
I hope her kids get taken away from her, she doesn't deserve them.
Who cares if K-Fed is living off of her child support? Any human would do the same thing if they recieved $20,000/month for marrying a trainwreck. At least he knows the kids exist. And at least that's $20,000 less Brit can spend on gasoline, junk food and Starbucks.
