Celebrity Justice
Lawyers to Brit: Honey, You Gotta Show for This

Britney SpearsSources connected with the custody case tell TMZ Britney Spears has been strongly urged to attend tomorrow's hearing. We're told her lawyers know if she doesn't show, it will be curtains -- at least in the short term.

Sources tell us Brit's lawyers know Commissioner Scott Gordon expects Britney to address a number of issues surrounding the craziness at her home a week ago Thursday. In particular, commissioner Gordon wants Brit to explain why she violated the custody order by not turning the kids over to K-Fed's security guard at 7:00 that evening. The commissioner is also keenly interested in Britney's behavior that caused her to be placed on a 5150 hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Britney's lawyers know if she does not attend tomorrow's hearing, the Commish almost certainly will extend the ban on visitation until the April trial.

The wild card, of course, is Britney herself. She hates appearing in court and it's certainly possible she'll be a no-show on Monday. TMZ will stream live video at the courthouse tomorrow, so watch and see if Brit appears!

61. Did Britney place this ad??

Please realize I did not write this! I found this on a forum and thought it was funny. Enjoy!

Please help! After two long years of being on a waiting list for a
dog, we have been notified by breed rescue that, at long last, our number
has come up and ... WE ARE HAVING A PUPPY!
We must get rid of our children IMMEDIATELY because we just know how
time consuming our new little puppy is going to be and it just wouldn't
be fair to the children. Since our little puppy will be arriving on Monday we MUST place the children up for adoption this weekend!
They are described as:

One male -- his name is Tommy, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), light
blonde hair, blue eyes. Four years old. Excellent disposition. He doesn't
bite. Temperament tested. Has had chicken Pox and is current on all shots.

One female -- her name is Lexie, Caucasian (English/Irish mix),
strawberry blonde hair, green eyes quite freckled. Two years old. Can be surly
at times. Non-biter, thumb sucker. Has been temperament tested but needs a
little attitude adjusting occasionally. She is current on all shots, would do best in a one child household.

We really do LOVE our children so much and want to do what's right
for them.
But we simply can no longer keep them.
Also, we are afraid that they may hurt our new puppy.
I hope you understand that ours is a UNIQUE situation and we have a
real emergency here!
They MUST be placed into your rescue by Sunday night
at the latest or we will be forced to drop them off at the orphanage or along some dark, country road. Our priority now has to be our new puppy.
We may need to place the childrens sire as well if he does not bond well with the puppy. He is older but well trained and can be quite affectionate.

62. I would lie in front of a bus for my kids and your poor, pathetic soul can't even manage to go to court...and on time...for yours. Being a mother is a privilege you don't deserve. You seem to think that being Britney Spears means you are owed something...YOU'RE NOT! Being Britney Spears means nothing more than being Paris Hilton right now. You aren't contributing anything at this point and the only thing you're accomplishing is wreaking havoc on LA. You desperately need to get help. You owe that to your sons.

69. She won't show, she's happy now, it's what she wanted and worked for all along, to be free again of all responsibility. She would fight harder to get into a Starbucks than she would fight for her children. She's crazy like a fox, if she didn't want to be in the headlines, she has the resources to go somewhere quiet. She's an over aged adolescent trying to regain her lost childhood, that's all that is going on. She doesn't deserve those beautiful children. Parenthood is a sacrifice, get that Britney?

71. It will probably be at a social services office for 1-2 hours. If she’s out of control, she wouldn’t be allowed to see them.

I had read that in one of these rag articles, maybe up to 6 hours a week. I think that may be wishful thinking on the part of Brit's lawyers though. Social Services would be a REALLY good idea.
