I'm sure alot of people have tried to help her or encourage her to get help. You can't help someone who doesn't want it!

To #43: With all due respect to your comment "put yourself in her shoes" ..... the majority of mothers would be discreet with regards to their social life; they would be doing everything they could to create an image of responsibility and credibility; they would dress in a respectable manner especially when attending court - not in a micro mini. Anna Nicole Smith has custody of her son. Where is he now? Where is she? What will happen? Everyone will watch her drive aimlessly around town until February 19 and read reports how upset she is and speculate about her current romance. Then there will be another media frenzy as to whether she will show up or not on February 19. If she is given visitation or partial custody of those children, the court is an enabler just like her staff, attorneys, and family. If the Spears family really cared they would do whatever is necessary to get her help but they too don't realize that doing the right thing is not an easy task; they would rather feed off their children's problems, sell the story to magazines, look pitiful, wring their hands, and tell the world to pray for Britney instead of doing the hard thing which they know should be done but they are just letting her go by the wayside saying they can't do anything. STAND UP SPEARS FAMILY. DO THE RIGHT THING!

There's something about this judge. I don't know if he's lacking balls or if he's in to his 15 minutes, but there's something not right there. No one else would get to slide like that.

70. I must agree with pat,#65....what's going on with that court? If this happened to one of us, we'd be a done deal. I almost can't watch it anymore. It makes me sick. She just doesn't deserve all this attention...why can't SOMEONE have her committed? Reading the comments and watching the coverage....well, nothing is going right for those boys. Will she be dead by the February date? It's just all beyond me.

71. 43. I don't blame her one bit. What does everyone think was gonna happen if she actually did show up in court today? Things are not at all in her favor right now whatsoever. Brit isn't exactly the poster child for stability at the moment and I'm pretty certain she knows this. My goodness, put yourselves in her shoes for a moment....you would be scared to death for this day. All we can do is pray for her and her little boys.

74. It makes me laugh how people in the US always kick someone when they are down.
KFederline is a useless no-job no talent parasite yet you side with this person who is out partying till all hours. Britney could well be suffering from Post partum Depression which lasts for years sometimes. Saying her kids should be taken from her will hurt those children more than anyone in the long run. How can you be so short sighted and not see Federline for what he really is and always has been...a gold digger. Britney and her babies need help to get them back to normality. Brit with her emotional health and those babies need to be spending time with their mother not have some stupid US judge keep cracking the whip because she is late and he wants to give her a piece of his nonsensicle authority.

Britney needs to have someone explain to her that she is suffering from Post Partum depression and she needs to be calmed down by having her custodial rights set to be restored when she is treated for PPD. She is obviously scared of losing her children and she is emotionally unwell...she needs help she needs her children and her children need her...regardless of what that moron Federline says...or that judge who keeps cracking his whip without seeming to see the WHOLE picture. Start telling Britney she will have her kids as soon as she gets treatment for her PPD.... but even so in the meantime she should still be seeing her children and them her its crucial for those babies to bond with their mom.
