Commish Thinks Brit's a Little Meshuggah

britney spearsSources tell TMZ the Commissioner in the Britney case now views mental health -- not substance abuse -- as the root of Britney's problems.

We're told today's witnesses presented a deeply disturbed picture of Spears. The witnesses told the story first reported on TMZ this weekend of a woman out of control. We're also told her the judge was deeply concerned that her instability posed a danger to her children.

Commissioner Scott Gordon was definitely influenced by the fact that Spears chose not to show up in court.

31. TMZ - forgot to proofread AGAIN -- "We're also told her the judge..." It takes only a minute to READ what you WRITE and as journalists you should be able to do just that.

As for the topic, there's no surprise here....except that NO ONE is able to do anything to save this girl. Maybe God is the only one who can.

32. Mental illness from not taking her prescriptions correctly, having a bad reaction to the prescriptions and/or the combination of all of the prescription medications. Until someone admits up to this, there is no hope for her. I feel awful for her.

33. I hope she does get some help and gets better. The girl obviously needs it. Kind of sad that people are waiting for some tragedy to happen to her soon. As if losing your kids isn't enough of a tragedy.

35. Come on, she's nuts! People can't help it if they have mental health problems. I think they shoulkd call off the vulture-photographers and get her into a mental hospital. My God, I'd be nuts too if I had to fight my way through that throng of vultures every step of my life.

38. Did anyone just watch the Larry King Live special?
It seems everyone agrees she has a SERIOUS mental illness, needs to be admitted IMMEDIATELY for treatment, and AWAY from the paps. She is addicted to the media, paps, and attention like a drug. At times she doesn't even know who she is. What is rock bottom? For most mom's it would be loosing the kids.
EVERYONE knows she's NUTS and needs help. Eveyone , but her. She is in SERIOUS denial. WHO is going to step up and help her. Will the judge force her to go to treatment? Can they get that 100 feet restraining order on the paps?
No one wants those 2 little boys to be orphaned by their mother, and grow up never knowing her.
But, where does it stop? WHO CAN STOP IT? She won't listen to ANYONE!

39. Speaking of Larry King, Dr. Drew stated most women like Britney hit their low when they lose their kids. He see's Britney either ending up dead or on a ventilator before she will be helped, if she is to survive. It ain't pretty people.

If she does attempt suicide, I hope someone is with her to call 911 sooner rather than later. She's headed down Anna Nicole Lane and that's a one way street.

40. Don't you people realize that she is sick, seriously sick. Everyone should be praying for her to realize she needs help and to get it. What a sad, sad situation. Will it make you happy to see her dead? I for one am praying for her...for G-d's sake, she is a human being who is in serious need of mental help. Good luck to her and her family, I for one am hoping someone can get her to seek the help she obviously needs.

41. I just don't understand why her parents do not have her declared incompetent and put her in a place where she is locked up, cannot hurt herself, and will get proper treatment and meds! This occurs a lot with other people, why not her? And the paps need to stop covering her ... just stop hanging around outside her door and stop taking her picture. Maybe we consumers should stop visiting websites that post gossip on her and stop buying magazines that slap her poor sick pic on their covers? I know I will be stopping. This is like watching the aftermath of a horrible accident... we ALL need to look away.
