Witnesses Take Stand in Brit Custody Hearing

Brit's still a no-show, but today's custody hearing is continuing as scheduled, having just broken for lunch.

A group of LAPD officers, firefighters and paramedics who were on scene at Brit's Ranchita Popwreck breakdown on the January 4 are expected to testify today. A male LAPD officer, who was one of the first responders to Brit's house that night, just finished testifying.

K-Fed and attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan are in the building, Britney hasn't even left her house. Today's hearing is considered Britney's last chance to get any custody back -- if she doesn't show, it could be over for her visitation until at least April.

166. Ok, first, I'm sure she wants her kids, AND to be a good mother to her kids. Second, she probably does have bipolar disorder, but that's not the end of the world! She can get on meds, and start to feel 'normal' again. What I question here, though, is if all the paps left the scene, would she show up in court? ...Why not test this situation: See if she shows up (and STAYS) if all of the PAPS leave! Just try it. That would be one sure way to find out if she really 'wants' her babies. I bet you if ALL THOSE GUYS left, she'd be in there, fighting for her babies!!!! LEAVE the poor woman ALONE!!! Do you hear the helicopter in the background on that video? It's ridiculous! She's just a pop star, why do you need to follow her every move with a freakin' HELICOPTER?!? That's what's insane about all this!!!

I mean dang if this was anyone that was just a normal everyday person the courts would have thrown the bitch in jail and taken any hope of ever gettin' to see her kids again. BUT NO.......cuz this is a at one time in her life pop star or whatever u want to call her she gets chance after chance after chance....... Why? whay should she get any chances at all! She don't deserve to be in the same room as her children! Isn't it clear by now she don't care bout anything or anyone! She should be locked up and they should throw away the key!

169. I know I love celeb gossip but don't you think this is going to far TMZ?? I mean can you give her a break..will you all not be happy until you FIRST report she has killed herself?? I'm guessing that is your plan of attack on her, trying to get her death first on your sad website! Yes she is having a "bizarre downward spiral" but don't you think you would too if you were harrassed they same way she is??? I mean she has mental health issues, and needs help she does not need YOU following her every second!

Oh and BTW....for all the comments here about her being on drugs, a skank etc...when you have a mental health issue you do not think right, nothing comes first such as Children and the right way to behave, you just are simply not yourself. Hopefully all if you will encounter something like she has to deal with, I mean are YOU ALL SO MUCH BETTER then her, could you handle everything she has had come at her, ether bought on by herself or whatever! 172. This mess with Britney is just ridiculous. The court system is wasting there time and money. If she was not a so called star any other woman or man that behaved the way she is behaving would of been in a mental hospital or jail for making a mockery out of the justice system.. Hell no she does not deserve those kids... I personally believe she should be made an example of what could happen even to so called stars when they are to show up in court and don't. and what they will lose when they act like a fool.. no matter whom they are or how much money they have.. those kids are in danger with britney.. hasnt her bizarre behavior shown that.. even if she was acting... those kids does not deserve what she's putting them through... she's making everyone look like a joke just because she can... i believe shes acting for publicity and to show she can get away with it because she is a so called celebrity.... shes a nasty slut and a low down unfit mother... and if the courts allow her to continue on with this behavior what is that saying......
