Witnesses Take Stand in Brit Custody Hearing

Brit's still a no-show, but today's custody hearing is continuing as scheduled, having just broken for lunch.

A group of LAPD officers, firefighters and paramedics who were on scene at Brit's Ranchita Popwreck breakdown on the January 4 are expected to testify today. A male LAPD officer, who was one of the first responders to Brit's house that night, just finished testifying.

K-Fed and attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan are in the building, Britney hasn't even left her house. Today's hearing is considered Britney's last chance to get any custody back -- if she doesn't show, it could be over for her visitation until at least April.

23. I honestly think there is something wrong with her. A mother does everything in her hands to keep her children and protected them. She should stop worrying about hanging out with that ugly guy and concentrate on being a good mother.

27. I feel so sorry for Brittany... I know you guys have seen the pictures of her with all the photograhers around her... she can't even get into her car. Can you only imagine? Money truly can not buy happiness. The pressure has gotten to much for her. Plain and simple. Hopefully, Brittany and the kids will be taken care of... Its all such a sad situation.

30. It's pretty obvious that she either doesn't care about her boys, or her mental illness has gotten to the point that she doesn't realize what's at stake.

I feel sorry for her actually, she really needs help.
