cricket65...that was Jon Eric Hexum who died when he was playing around on the set and shot hinself with blanks. The theme song was "I need a Hero" but I can't remember the show's title.

The show where the guy died was called cover up. The guy was also in a time travel show in the 80's with solel moon frye's brother. He was playing russian roulette with a "blanks" weapon and died. Brandon Lee was killed on the set of the crow in a freak accident involving a gun that was supposed to carrying blanks and somehow ended up loaded.
