Brad Renfro Dies

Brad RefroTMZ has learned actor Brad Renfro is dead.

The 25-year-old actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home this morning. The cause of death has not been determined, however, Renfro had a history of drug abuse.

Sources tell us Renfro, who had starring roles in "The Client" and "Apt Pupil" had been working valiantly to stay clean, especially since this summer. Renfro had been convicted of several drug offenses, including attempted heroin possession.

Renfro had been filming a movie with Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton. The movie, "The Informers," just wrapped.

Renfro has had a rough time personally since moving from Tennessee to Los Angeles. His parents split, and we're told he did not have real guidance from adults as he tried navigating the treacherous movie industry.

106. Condolences to the Renfro family. I lost someone very close to me to a heroin overdose. He was a clean cut kid and we didn't see it coming. This is hard, but time will heal.

111. Well HA, I AGREE that It should have been Britney which I wouldn't have said, HOWEVER today I just found out from OK Mag that she's trying to get pregnant again. Why should another baby suffer because of her? So too bad this celeb death happened to this guy instead. He might have been a mess but at least he wasn't polluting the news on a daily basis and screwing up his kids like Brit is.

112. Boo freaking hoo, this redneck yokel hit the lottery and decided to put it in his arm?
It's a good thing he's dead, even BETTER that he didn't take himself out after hurting anybody else.
Red state retards, let this be a lesson to you, stay in your hick towns with your mommy, you don't have what it takes to make it in L.A.

114. This is sooooo sad. He was such an amazing actor. I think we all were hoping he would get the support he needed and the want in himself to get and stay clean. Another one bites the dust in Hollywood. How sad this is.

115. i was shocked. when i was a kid, i had a crush on him, i thought he was the cutest guy, and he had great range, "The Cure". "The Adventures of Tom and Huck" and "Sleepers". Not only that, he seemed quite spiritual, once talking about his belief in God in an interview. The guy was a great actor and could have gone far. It is sad that he went to drugs. Rest in Place, Brad. May you rest in God's Arms. God bless his family.

The difference between the two of you is that you're not a public figure and nobody cares about you.
