Jessica Alba's Expanding Womb

Despite box office bombs like "Awake" and "Good Luck Chuck," unwed mom-to-be Jessica Alba is finally becoming a huge star!

In typical Alba fashion, she did her best to shield her face from cameras after leaving an L.A. gym on Tuesday -- but there was no hiding Jess' growing fetal love handles.

47. Why is it a big deal that she in unwed....I was a teenager when I had my first child and yes unwed....eventually I married her father and now we have two together. Plus who wants to be weighed down with a man if they don't want to? Oh yeah she might also be like Glenn Close on the movie "Life told by Garp" Just wanting a child without a man.

49. She is such a sweet girl, hope her and the baby are healthy.

Some are posting about her being an unwed mother, and I realize it's a religous taboo not to have children out of wedlock, but this is 2008, and the men aren't the hunter garterers anymore, women don't need that ring on their finger to start a family.

53. She's hiding her face because she knows she can't act! She got knocked up by a man who didn't want to marry her but now he feels obligated. Good luck with that lasting, Jessica!

54. I didn't realize she was that far along already. I look like that at about 5-6months, but I carry very small. I hope she is enjoying this and not obssesed over her weight like everyone else seems to be. BTW, being unwed means nothing...she's engaged and I was dumped after I married for "baby" so give the girls a break. Marriage doesn't guarantee you anything, other than a future in divorce court.

55. Her job is to show her face in front of the camera AT WORK. She's not obligated to whore herself out everytime she walks out the door. Society has brainwashed itself into thinking everyone should want photo ops 24/7. Some people like their privacy and they should get it. Celebrity has become pathetic. I grew up in a time where actors were actors, they had mystery and we didn't know what they did in between movies and we didn't care.

56. So she should have to stay in her house if she doesn't want to be photographed? Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard Kay.

59. Who cares if she wants to hide her face? She's pregnant and probably tired from working out at the gym. It's not her fault that the paps stalk her all the time because they can't get a real job.

60. People keep saying that "women don't need a man to have a baby" ... "women don't need the ring on their finger to start a family". Its really not about the WOMEN. Its about the CHILD. I think EVERY child deserves to have the benefit of TWO parents.

So its really not about women being independent. Its about robbing children of the benefit of TWO parents.

This is not even a MORAL issue for me. Its just about what is best for children, and like it or not, its usually better to have two parents instead of one - in so many ways. (Not like it CANT be done.. its just better for the kids to have both parents).
