AP to Britney: We Have Your Obit Ready to Go!

Britney Spears hasn't died, but the Associated Press has an obituary already written, should something happen to the "at-risk" former pop star.

TMZ spoke to AP Entertainment Editor Jesse Washington who confirmed the news. Washington told Us Weekly, "We would never wish any type of misfortune on anybody and hope that we would never have to use it until 50 years from now, but if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared."

It is not uncommon for news organizations like AP to have obituaries prepared for high-profile people -- the unusual thing is that they're usually prepped for the very sick or aged.

Britney is doing all this fake bristish talking, pregnancy test etc. just to play with the paparazzi. put your self in her sitauation. would it get old as hell getting followed around constantly. screw it why not start giving them a show. of cousrse she has some problems, she is not worried about her sons to much. but if everyone would leave the poor girl alone maybe she could get better, i really feel for her and the way she must feel with every one so worried about what she is doing. i pray the paparrazi just leave her alone. let her and her family have some privacy.

36. This isn't wrong, it is normal procedure. Don't you think they have the same thing for Lohan and the other celebuturds? Of course they do. And all the goofy politicians too. Spears may be younger than most, but they do have to be prepared. If we are lucky, they'll get to publish it soon. She is so disgusting.

39. Most newspapers and news agencies do this - they have them for most public porfile people - it's nothing new at all - why the problem? Everyone wants to be first to report the news so thats what they do (I used to work in public affairs and we had them on everyone - it was actually a job for someone, thats all they did - and they updated them when the person did something new)

45. I think what draws celebrity to the breaking point of losing it. It is the people who right about them and well cause them to have a breakdown.I think it is totally inapropret to have an obituries already written out.I don't wish anything upon Britney Spears[yes she does have some personal issues do deal with but the media does not help that matter.Personaly I think if I was a celebrity and you ro anyone else wrote stuff or have my obiturie wrote out I would sue all of your asses for that and make sure that you or anyone won't hurt or cause a person to literly breakdown!I watch your shows every now and then I think u all are in the wrong and I hope someone starts writting trash about you!I personally think u all are a bunch of people who have nothing better to do then destroy people lives and well causing death.If u have a problem with what I wrote then DEAL WITH IT!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
