197. Has anyone ever thought that K-Fed is probably loving this- I think he could help her if he really wanted to. He probably doesn't care what happens to her, because he has the two meal tickets to the rest of her bank account, and that is very sad.

198. I am not, nor ever was a fan of Spears. There are others way more talented then she that will never be known. But after watching this display of inhumane treatment from the media to another human being, being lost to obscurity is a far better fate. What sort of life is this???? Who wouldn't lose their sanity??? That sort of harassment from the paparazzi would cause even the most stable and sane person to become insane. One would have to take on some form of a different personality just to survive. Britney needs to find some sort of way to just disappear if she wants to have any enjoyment of life before she dies...no matter how long she lives. We humans are a very cruel species.

201. Frankly, it's more likely that she has Bipolar Affective Disorder and has historionic manic bouts wherein she is "over the top" and very theatrical in her presentation in public. If she is abusing any substances while experience a manic episode, amnesia for what she does would be very possible if not probable. MPD is not that common and Bipolar Affective Disorder is a differential for a Dissociative Disorder diagnosis. In fact, Bipolar Affective Disorder is very common among artists in general. Read the book Touched By Fire and others on the subject of the preponderance of persons with Bipolar Affective Disorder in the arts. It is the most heritable of the major mental disorders and frequently is NOT treated because the person has no insight or self-awareness of their own bizarre behavior. It tends to affect those who have to live with and deal with them in life more than the affected individual as a result. It should be noted that persons with Bipolar Affective Disorder are really the spice of our cultural life, so cast few aspersions. I do believe she needs treatment and to lay off using any alcohol or other substances of abuse, legal, or illegal. Mental clarity is a gift and should not be squandered but protected and promoted. That goes for everyone and not just persons with mental disorders. :-)

205. According to the Diagnostic Statistics Manual version IV (DSMIV) which is the main book of reference, used by professionals in identifying Psychiatric disorders, Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder) is

· The presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states (each with its own relatively enduring pattern of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and self).

· At least two of these identities or personality states recurrently take control of the person's behavior.

· Inability to recall important personal information that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness.

DID is caused by trauma during childhood. There is a dissociative spectrum running from everyday dissociation (example daydreaming) all the way to the other end, which is, DID/MPD. It can occur when a child is traumatized by physical, sexual, emotional, and/or mental abuse.

All humans have different aspects of there personality, but MPD/DID is not that because;

- people with DID/MPD have Post Traumatic Stress disorder.

- people with DID/MPD may have amnesia in regards to many daily activates.

- those that do not have amnesia feel like they are trapped and being highjacked into something. They see their body doing an activity, but cannot stop it.

- an aspects cannot hide trauma or memories of abuse.

- an aspect cannot be abused individually.

- an aspect does not have its own relatively enduring pattern of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and self.

- an aspect does not have different IQ levels, educational likes, musical talents, political preferences, food preferences, eye glasses prescriptions, eye colors, allergies, etc

- different aspects cannot change how the brain accesses information.

- alters can and do all the above on a daily basis.



Now keeping all these things in mind, I am DID, and while watching Ms. Spears over the last number of years, it doesn't seem as if she is DID. It seems like she may have read about certain things, or is simply high on drugs. When someone takes drugs they have the same type of amenisa and sometimes even personality changes as she is presenting. However, it must be said that she DOES need some help for her problems, those poor children are going to be sccared for life, and loose out on having a mother, if she doesn't get the help that she needs.
