The expression "starving artist" can certainly apply to striking writers, but Drew Carey is providing them with free meals -- at Bob's Big Boy!
We're told Drew picks up the tab at the Burbank institution for any writer who shows the wait staff a WGA card. So far, we hear he's spent a fat $10,000!
The high-calorie eatery is one of Drew's faves. Shocker.

36. I used to like Drew, but ever since he became host of The Power of Ten (a gameshow on which he has repeatedly bragged about being "rich") and where he's getting paid huge buck to host The Price is Right, Drew has become nothing more than a has-been braggart!

37. Okay, So he foots the bill for WGA members, what about all of the IATSE crew members who are laid off due to the strike, and are NOT eligible for STRIKE pay as the WGA members are? We are the forgotten in this debacle.Some of us are not even eligible for full unemployment benefits. The members if IATSE are truly suffering a financial hardship. I hope the DGA deal will spur the inexperienced head of the WGA to make the deal, already!

Drew, please don't do that... don't you realize the very people you are feeding are the poor people who are causing the strike, and they, the poor ones who aren't the film stars who hand up their third fingers at the paparazzi's and hide their faces... it is the grips, and the lighting people, and all the costumers and make up peeps, ... don't the strikers ralize that to hold out much longer is going to 'kill' thses ppl who have no money to exist on, while the richer... get richer... :(
