What do Britney Spears, Sybil and one of the greatest running backs of all time have in common? Multiple personality disorder. Nurse!Britney Spears, Herschel Walker
Herschel Walker, considered by many to be one of the most dominant players in college football history, is expected to reveal in an upcoming book that he has multiple personalities. "Breaking Free" will be released in August and will document Walker's life with MPD.

Walker is best remembered for the massive trade that sent him from the Dallas Cowboys to the Minnesota Vikings. Britney is best remembered for shaving her head.

19. Just for your information - it hasn't been called MPD for years now. The condition is DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder.)

As far as I know she has never been formally diagnosed, so this is all speculation.

22. It is very sad to see her act this way, but I love how the public is yelling to save her when she is doing exactly what she wants to do. She wants to get the SHOCK factor from everyone. And we buy into it, Im over Britney Spears. Let her do what she is going to do, because in the end, she will only have herself to blame.
And looking for an excuse for her behavior, (MPD) is another way of saying "she has no control of herself" when infact she does, she just chooses to act like an idiot in public and trampy.

26. I knew Herschel in high school and I believe he suffered with this then. He was very moody at times but generally an all round nice guy. And, when the pros started scouting him, he didn't have much time for some of us anymore....but we still loved him.

28. OK, so Britney walks around town talking like she's from London, a couple of unknown sources say, "Yep, she's MPD", and suddenly that's the issue? Could it be that she's just an attention whore and a mental midget? I think that's more likely. If she had MPD don't you think someone in her money grubbing family would have forced her to get some help? You can't get cash out of a cow who thinks she's a village of people and forgets who she is.

30. Wow, stop posting things about her having MPD -- the odds of that are so incredibly slim since DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER (which is what it's called -- MPDis archaic) is unbelievably rare. Even the oh-so-famous "Sybil" has been under scrutiny since her case appeared concerning whether or not she actually had the disorder or just fabricated everything due to subtle suggestion from her practitioner. Please stop trying to be a psychiatric website -- you can barely handle having compassion for these people as it is, lets not drag the already discriminated against mental health community into the garbage you post.
