31. Wow, I guess tmz staff now have medical degrees, and can now diagnose the celebrities they snap pictures of.

32. Here is something that may clear up the DID MPD argument.

Dissociative identity disorder (DID), as defined by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR), is a mental illness in which a single person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment.[1] The diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior with an associated memory loss that goes beyond normal forgetfulness, and symptoms are not due to substance abuse or medical condition. Earlier versions of the DSM named the condition multiple personality disorder (MPD), which is still used by the ICD-10.

So, everyone is right here be it MPD or DID

35. DID or what you are calling multiple personality disorder is very serious and not funny or silly; and if left untreated (it is challenging to get pt's to comply with medication requirements) it can have detrimental consequences. For someone to come out publicly with their diagnosis is shocking and for whatever reason they chose to do so, should be supported; as the steps they have taken may positively impact others.

In watching this young woman's behavior I have no idea what she truly, if anything, suffers from - perhaps she simply does not want her children (which, in my opinion, is unfortunate but okay if she addresses it, it just requires responsibility for her to state it and take necessary steps (and perhaps that's what she's doing in her own way) or perhaps she has schizophrenia; only a select few may know that answer and are under obligation to hold this information. But - whatever she has (or has not), she appears to be rather out of control (either as a spoiled young woman with too much money at her fingertips, or clinically impaired - my guess is somewhere in between).

36. I think it is amazing that people can get away with diagnosing Brit with anything and then splash it up wherever they want. I know we all realize that she has some sort of problem, but is it disgusting to start diagnosing others from a distance. If she does have MPD, bipolar or whatever else TMZ and the "experts" on these message boards suggest she has then please pray that she gets the help she needs. If a doctor or medical professional is giving TMZ information on Britney's mental health than they are violating HIPPA laws. Why don't you give it a rest already? If Herschel Walker is writing a book that details his MPD then that is different. He is releasing information that he doesn't mind being out there. More power to him. But, geez TMZ, these concocted stories from unknown "sources" are becoming boring. The rest of these message boards will be filled with three different writers...those filled with hate that spout out that she is a loser, those "experts" that label her with different diagnoses and then feel the need to explain what it means, and those that just are interested in what she's doing and wishing her to get well. I'm the latter. Aren't you just harassing this poor girl?

37. #8 I agree with you. TMZ your're full of $hit. Now when Britt married K_Funkaline, the headlines read different and more in Britney's favor. Now you have changed everything around so that the public will feed into this Anti-Britney saga. Let it go if it wasn't fr Britney in the last few months you wouldn't have a wed-site much less a LOUSY TV show. You people post false information & misleading information so that we will hve bad vibes about these celebs. Instead why not step out and print something truthful for a change.

38. I have TMZ set up as my homepage, but I constantly breezing past all of the Britney posts. But after I saw the Multiple Personality Disorder headline my distaste hit a lower level. That is a serious problem and disorder, and should not be made fun of like a JOKE.

This is embarrassing. I don't even want to look on TMZ any more. I am switching my home page and not looking on this site any more.

She needs her privacy. Poor girl. TMZ is contributing to her problems. Shame on you.

39. I think one of the things we have read is that her family is trying to get her to get help. She obviously has issues and desparately needs help. But I think people need to quit couch diagnosing her no one really knows what is going on with her... just speculation. It is really sad to see her falling apart and id is obvious that the people around her are enabling not helping the situation. I have never been a fan but I hope she gets help before it is too late.

40. If she really does have MPD I hope her stupid family gets on the ball and sees she get some help because she isn't going to do it herself. Unless she all the sudden has a Dear Abbey persona take over.....

Seriously TMZ, leave her alone and let her be crazy in peace!

44. I am not an expert on MPD but I think the only Brit has ia Spoiled Brat Syndrome. By labeling her MPD you just gave her another attention span. I've read a book by a great author about a woman who castrated men, it wasn't true but from what I understand, he researched MPD. First off, her personalities come out at a very convenient time don't they? She's scared to go to court cause MPD "scared girl" comes out, yet as soon as she wants Starbucks, "scared girl" is now "attention girl." Whenever she doesn't want to do something she becomes British girl or scared girl or whatever, but when it is something she wants she's fine??!! I do not believe MPD works like that. That is juat a girl starving for attention and making damn sure no one is going to tell her what to do. I also got from the book that the hidden disorder would not come out in front of people, it was hidden and had to be tricked out of her. Cybell Sherpard had I beleive 9, and didn't act like Brit. She's getting what she wants bottom line. And we all are feeding into her by posting and reading about her. I'm guilty.

45. Which personality shave her head and how did the other ones feel about it?

And do they think that Britney is as crazy as we think she is?
