R.I.P.
Carl at God's Big Drive Thru

Carl N. Karcher, founder of the Carl's Jr. hamburger chain, has died. When TMZ went for lunch today, we were given the below obit. "Here's your burger and our boss died. Enjoy your meal!"

Let's hope he springs for more than a $6 casket.

61. To 58,

There are people out there trying to do just that.

62. Listen,

I don't hate anyone. I hate sin. I also sin. I hate that I do it but I am human. But I do not live in a lifestyle of sin. If I sin I ask for forgivness and try to not do it again. And of course being human I do it again and then ask for forgivness again and try to do better. It's a constant battle. But I would never try to justify my sinful behavior. Wrong is wrong.

63. Am I allowed, deep inside, you know it's the truth- banning people is just the start of what you would do, right? There are also quite a few gays in the schools systems and I bet that they have already taught your kids. The thought of you spreading your hatred to children scares me even more than someone who happens to be gays just doing their jobs. And doesn't the thought that the creator of this website and a few of his employees are also gay just cheese you out? I bet it does! Watch out, you may get the gay virus and turn gay from reading what they print.

64. Oh please, do not try to claim that Christians are persecuted in this country. They are not. No one is firing Christian teachers solely for being Christian.

Your civil rights are important. However, you can move your kids to another non-gay school, or homeschool them. You have options. You are trying to deny an entire group of people work because they happen to be gay. Please, open your eyes. There is no difference between denying a gay person a job and denying a black person a job. Jim Crow lives on in 21st Century America.

65. To 62,

You seem to be the one spewing hatred and nasty comments. I don't see why me saying I wouldn't want gays teaching my kids is a hateful thing. You seem to like to take liberties with assuming what I would and wouldn't like to do next.

Makes me wonder why you are over-reacting to my comments.

67. Am I, if there is any 'sin' out there, it is people like you who are using websites to spread you homophobic spew and then thinking nothing of it, AND then tryi to justify it! And as Imagine No Religion pointed out, Christians teaching children scares me much, much more than a gay teacher ever would, because they are told to go forth and spread their lies! I bet you're voting Huckabee, right? He espouses the same intolerant views that you do and he is even planning on changing the Constitution to promote his bigotry!

68. Christians ARE being persecuted more and more these days. You see it all the time in the news.

I am not trying to deny gays from having a job. I just don't think gays teaching children, in most parents eyes, is a desirable thing. And now, as a parent, if I state that it is not a desirable thing I am labeled a bigot and nasty comments are thrown my way.

69. So if you ask for forgiveness because you did something wrong but then you sin again, doesn't that make you unrepentant? True, humans make mistakes but the whole Christianity belief that everything you do wrong is forgiven if you ask for forgiveness makes little sense. Do you ever think that god is tired of hearing you apologize for commiting the same sins time and again simply because you are human? So if I went out and shot up a supermarket, killed 12 people, and then asked for forgiveness that I would be forgiven and able to spend eternity in heaven? So being a Christian is kind of like having a Get Out Of Jail Free card....no matter what you do you are always forgiven. Why do we have prisons then? If you are forgiven for your sins, then why not automatically forgive pedophiles, rapists, murderers, and thieves for their crimes?

70. Christians are not being persecuted unless you watch FOX news. Gays have every right to teach school if they want. You DO NOT have the right to tell them they can't. You DO have the right to move your kids to a different school. Most parents probably don't care if their kids have a gay teacher. Only the ones who feel they have the right to stick their nose into someone else's private life do. I know many gay people. They have no agenda. They have no desire to "indoctrinate" children into the gay lifestyle. They understand that people are gay or they aren't.

71. Am I, so just what are you afraid of? That gays will suddenly make your kids gay? Who else scares you? People of other races? Other religions? Non Christians? I bet they all scare you, don't they? Bigots like you are rarely bigoted against just one group!

72. God forgives all sin if the repentance is sincere. Only God knows if it is sincere or not. A true Christian won't think of asking God for forgivness as a 'get out of jail free" card.

As far as God forgiving the same sins over and over again, it just proves the amount of patience and love God has for us.

As far as jails and the like, there are consequences for sin and crimes, but you can still be forgiven by God and go to heaven.

73. So in your opinion, I am a bigot because I don't embrace every belief or lifestyle out there? I already said I don't hate anyone, but you chose to put words in my mouth and tell me what I supposedly really think.

74. You are a bigot whether you are prejudiced against one group or against every one but your own. Numbers don't matter, attitude does.

75. I guess you believe that Jews, followers of Islam, and every other religion will not get to share in your exclusive party in the sky? Well I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member or you for that matter.
