Dr. Phil Unapologetic for Brit Visit
Dr. Phil hit the airwaves today to defend his hospital visit to Britney Spears -- he just wishes he hadn't blabbed about it to everyone after!
Check out his semi-apology.

61. I'd have bought what he was selling if he hadn't have benn trying to sell it
The whole situation was bad, from him lying about walking her out, to him trying to sell a Monday exclusive, to his half-hearted apology.
It's the worst case of patient "friend" exploitation from a professional I have ever seen.

63. Did you all forget she was under a 5150 hold therefore you have no rights to say who comes or goes her family had every right to invite Dr. Phil

64. Think he would have ever made these comments if he weren't being investigated by the medical board, I highly doubt it. Dr. Phil if you were as experienced as you claim to be well you would of known better. You're just trying to cover your butt now that all h*ll has broken out. You are a phoney, anyone could do what you are doing by practicing common sense. Maybe you have screwed up so much that you like to make yourself feel better by dipping your nose into everyone else's junk, so you don't have to look at yours?

65. Amazing!! This young girl is in a serious downward spiral and is in need of some serious intervention. All day long all we hear is something needs to be done or she is going to be the next Anna Nicole Smith. FINALLY someone steps up to the bat and what happens? He gets slammed so hard that it is ridiculous. I applaud Dr. Phil for at least TRYING to do something, anything to get her help. To tell the truth - I don't think the public really wants to see her get help. It is too entertaing to watch her life go on the rocks. Sad - really sad.

66. No apology needed. you went as a family friend and did a favor for the family. This girl needs help and you reached out,. Good for you.

67. Dr. Phil may not have done things the best way, however Britney''s family needs to quit worrying about him and the rest of the world and help their obviously sick child. This has gone way to far. Quit worrying about what we think and focus on making your child get help.

69. THIS GUY IS SUCH A BUTTHOLE.

70. This guy is nothing more than a huckster (promoted by Oprah) and his true colors have been revealed. He is NOT a licensed psychologist and should stop pretending that he its. Why is he still on TV giving worthless advice?

71. What's the difference between Dr Phil and Jerry Springer...Nothing...

72. Everyone knows that Britney needs help. However, "Dr. Phil" is not licensed as a therapist in CA so he can't provide professional help to Britney or anyone else. The reality is that he was attempting to USE Britney for his TV ratings and it backfired. IMO he is an arrogant a** that finds any way he can to USE people and extend his fame. He's a fraud and should be taken off the air.

I don't give a damn what the family wanted. If you can show me that Dr. Phil is properly licensed to practice Psychiatry or Psychology, in California, great. If you can't then stop drinking the Dr. Phil Kool-Aid. I realize today is a holiday, but IMO, their seems to be an orgasmic adulation over Dr. Phil and all of the other cronies on day time TV, and it is beyond disturbing on this message board. As the old saying goes: If you aren't the lead dog, the view never changes. Why people get so wrapped up in Oprah, Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray and the rest of the day time tlakers, I will never understand. Live your won lives, people.

Just because peole have a TV show, doesn't mean that they are always right and always correct.

75. Felicity: There is very lilttle difference between Dr. Phil and Jerry Springer, except Jerry is honest about what he does. Phil exploits people for his ratings and nothing else. Phil is such a dirtbag.
