Heath's Family: He Did Not Kill Himself

TMZ has been contacted by a rep from Heath's family. The cops told the family Heath's death was accidental and there is no evidence to support the buzz that he may have committed suicide.

They are particularly distraught over media reports that he may have taken his own life. The family says he was not that kind of person.

As we just reported, Heath was ill with pneumonia when he died.

153. How sad. seemed like a nice person with everything to look forward to. I'm sure it was accidental. He didn't seem like the kind of person to leave behind a child without a father. my deepest synpathy to his family and friends.

156. TMZ has reported news as it was developing, and so they were not the only ones to report a possible suicide. TMZ, I think you guys are doing a great job trying to get the lastest information to everyone. Heath Ledger was an extremely talented and beautiful person and he will be greatly missed by his fans.

157. I have felt totally sad all day. I feel sorry for Matilda who will never kiss or cuddle her daddy again. All of us here in western australia are very devistated. RIP Heath... My thoughts go out to his wonderful family, Michelle and Matilda. 158. I understand that journalists want the first, breaking news to be credited to them when dealing with a story with caliber. However, it would show more class for a journalist to get as much of personal information, like from family, prior to submitting such a story for public knowledge. I'm so sorry for the loss of Heath to his family and especially to his daughter.....Matilda, I'm sure you'll grow up to know what a wonderful man your daddy was and I'm sure he'll always be watching over you!!! As for the media maybe they should give it a rest for a while and let his family grieve with the repect they deserve...Suicide or not he was a person whose life ended to soon.. The powers that be will be holding a special place for Heath as his family always will in their hearts...Your life was too short and you will surely be missed, thanks for the 100% you always gave....You will definately be one of the brightest stars in the sky!!!

164. Heath Ledger's death is a greatly unplanned tragedy. I enjoyed his movies, and was looking forward to more. Though whatever anyone may say, I do not believe he committed suicide. He had planned too far ahead, and had a gorgeous 2 year old girl, Matilda, that he loved and cared for to have committed suicide. He was a fun-loving man, and will be greatly missed in both his movies and in real-life.
