TMZ has been contacted by a rep from Heath's family. The cops told the family Heath's death was accidental and there is no evidence to support the buzz that he may have committed suicide.
They are particularly distraught over media reports that he may have taken his own life. The family says he was not that kind of person.
As we just reported, Heath was ill with pneumonia when he died.

168. Very sad about Heath Ledger. 28 is just too damn young. That being said, you knew something was the matter with him...the guy's appearance changed dramatically, going from hot to not just like that! Sadly, he probably had addiction problems that was covered up by others and it is just way to bad that he didn't get help or take his recovery seriously enough so that he didn't end up like this....

169. Everyone can speculate, but no one will ever know if it was suicide or not. Sometimes people who are very depressed keep things hidden from their family members, and with them living in Australia, and him elsewhere, they may have not seen his decline emotionally. It really doesnt seem accidental, because of all the pills that were laying all around him. Sounds more like he just didnt care, and that is sad.

170. Heath was my favorite actor. I loved him in Castanova, Brokeback Mountain and The Brothers Grimm. He will be very sadly missed by me and my HeathGirls Club.
