Heath's Family: He Did Not Kill Himself

TMZ has been contacted by a rep from Heath's family. The cops told the family Heath's death was accidental and there is no evidence to support the buzz that he may have committed suicide.

They are particularly distraught over media reports that he may have taken his own life. The family says he was not that kind of person.

As we just reported, Heath was ill with pneumonia when he died.

76. just cant express the shock and sorrow i feel right now. when i first heard i kept saying"this cant be real." my heart breaks for Matilda and the rest of his family. That poor little girl is going to grow up without a father. The rest of his family has to go on living without this amazing man. We all have to go on without ever seeing his smiling face light up a room, screen, or picture ever again. So very heart breaking. May God keep you Heath. You will never know what you ment to so many people. I will NEVER forget you.

77. The Daily Mail (in England) said he'd been fighting a drug addiction (including heroin) for a while now....and that he was especially depressed when his relationship with Michelle Williams blew up last fall. Man it's awful! God bless you Heath. RIP....

78. "It takes a lot of pills to kill a 28 year old man."

No it doesn't, sorry to say so but you're wrong. The right combination in the right amount, throw in someone who's maybe taken something illegal in the past like speed which is what Heath seemed to be on most of the time and you have heart failure pure and simple.

80. To the person that thinks if he had a drug problem, we'd know about. Many, many, many actors have substance abuse problems. Most are smart enough not to use in front of paps and generally keep it on the down low. That's why god invented publicists.

81. The guy scheduled an appointment with a masseuse and it was the masseuse and a housekeeper who found him dead. And according to news reports he was naked and face-down with pills scattered around him. Duh! Does that really sound like suicide? Sounds to me like he was preparing for his appointment, like someone who had a bottle of pills in hand and just dropped dead on the bed after getting out of the shower. My guess is that he had an underlying medical problem that triggered sudden death, probably an unknown medical problem. It happens a lot even to young people.

And another thing to look at is if the guy had been on a recent long haul flight. Sometimes within hours but usually within days of a long haul flight some people drop dead from the so-called "economy class syndrome," blood clots that form in the legs and can dislodge and travel to the brain or lungs and cause sudden death. It's a dirty little secret the airlines don't want people to associate with a sudden death days after a long flight. Something as simple as taking an aspirin before a long haul flight and an aspirin everyday for 2 or 3 days after the long flight can prevent those clots. Anyway, whatever the cause of death here, it sure does not sound like suicide.

87. OF COURSE HIS FAMILY'S GOING TO SAY THAT!
THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S TRUE!
THINK FOR YOURSELVES!

"accident" DOUBTFUL, but go ahead and have it your way, you're the family. remember him as you wish.

it is a shame, nonetheless and it's almost certainly not accidental. where's the family been anyway? it doesn't sound like they knew too much about what his life's been like or the difficulties he's faced. now that it might embarrass them further they scream bloody murder at the media for calling it what it appears to be. more hollywood PR lies. NO TRUTH.

88. To #37 (Lady Penelope Crappenpants) who posted: TMZ - you have "just reported" a lot or erroneous information in your numerous one sentence (maybe just a sentence fragment) posts. This is just making you look amateurish and completely uninformed in your quest to "break the story". Thankfully, there are news agencies out there who aren't so quick on the trigger where people can get real information instead of your indigestible "nuggets" of information that you correcting every few minutes."

Then why don't you go get "real information" from news agencies instead of coming to TMZ to read about this story? Loser.
