How Heath's Body Was Discovered

The Olsen twins' connection to Heath Ledger's apartment is now clear.

Here's the way it went down. A cleaning lady for Heath arrived at the apartment first, followed soon thereafter by a masseuse. They both entered the room at around the same time and discovered Heath's lifeless body.

The cleaning lady called police. The masseuse, we're told, called the bodyguard for the Olsens. She called him because they're friends and he's an EMT. The bodyguard was around the block at Ashley's and he immediately went over. By the time he arrived, the cops were already there.

We're also told it appeared Heath "had been dead for a while" and there were no visible signs of trauma. There was a pill bottle on the nightstand.

49. Okay could you all stop making up your own stories here? I mean the readers AND TMZ. I doubt this was a drug overdose. And yes they CAN conclude that it was not suicide by COUNTING THE FRIGGIN PILLS in the bottle and guestimating at the time filled. Next, FULL CARDIAC ARREST is not the same as DEAD. Now, I wasnt there. I do not know if he was dead, or in full cardiac arrest. BUT... there appears to be a reasonable degree of indication that by the time OFFICIAL 911 responders got there he was DEAD... not including the Olsen twins friend that apparently was called and is ALSO an EMT educated in emergency response. More than likely, this is a death secondary to Pneumonia and NOT the Ambien or... an accidental OD of Ambien (which was the alleged drug per alleged insiders) which may have been a usual dose for him (2 which by the way is 1 too many) because of the weakened state of the cardiac system secondary to pneumonia. STOP guessing who he was with or why he was naked. LOTS of people sleep naked. Enough with the bull. Let him rest in peace and wait for the official discussion to come out from the coroner.

51. I just cannot believe all the ignorant statement that I have read. Having sex with his dead body, deny suicide before the Super Bowl. C'mon, some folks are just plain bungholes. and have no respect for themselves, life, or others.
I loved H.L. And he was a very talented actor. I just cannot figure out for the life of me why a life and talent like his is taken away? And yet there are more destructive folks on earth that don't give a rat's bum about their life. Why does it have to be like that?

53. Honestly some people do not have a heart. I've read comments of people actually being happy with his death...yeah it's because it' not your brother, or husband or father. I KNOW WHAT IT IS TO LOSE SOMEONE YOU LOVE, I'VE LOST MY FATHER SO I CAN ASURE YOU IT'S FREAKIN HARD, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF HE WAS ON DRUGS OR ANYTHING...I BET RIGHT NOW HIS FAMILY DOES NOT EVEN CARE, HE DIED AND THEY LOVED HIM....PERIOD! 54. The latest is that he had pneumonia. There is a deadly mutation of a simple cold virus traveling throughout the nation. California is getting hard hit. That would explain being clothless, and with sleeping pills trying to rest during the day. I feel speachless over the lost of one of the world's leading actors.

11. Accidental or Overdose...It Doesn't Matter, he DIED. People who are Intelligent, KNOW by Taking One to Many Pills, can Cause Harm... Just a thought....
The only one I feel very SAD for is His Little Girl, I am Sure He LOVED her VERY MUCH.

58. Such a complete SHOCK....such a sad loss of a great talent. He had so many years left to grace the world with his movies, his great gift of acting. I just heard someone say something that sums up Heath Ledger ,"He was interested in ACTING, not in being a star." He chose his roles for the ROLES, the depth of character, etc., NOT for the money like sooo many other "actors" do. It's so unfortunate that his life ended much too soon, he had so much promise.
Rest in peace, Heath, your legacy will live on......through your darling daughter and through your amazing work.

59. oh god...I don't know what to say - honestly, I'd be a hypocrite and a liar if I said I hadn't read the story and watched the video. No matter what I say this comment will be criticized - so screw it...I actually saw Heath's stretcher being pulled out first on CNN (kind of ironic...supposedly 'high-end' journalism) The truth is...tmz or any media outlet would not be posting this video (or at least most wouldn't) if there wasn't an audience that wanted to watch it. The anonymity of the internet (myself included...I know) gives the viewers the ability to watch this anonymously unless they post something too like I am doing - so its definitive a negative, never-ending cycle. This statement may seem ridiculously obvious, but personally I find it overlooked. TMZ really is America's guilty pleasure...or is it? Who knows...Also, I pray for anyone that's depressed enough to take this tragic 'step' - not just celebs. The whole thing, not just his death, but his potential and the public's response...it's all really sad....send your prayers to Heath as a human being, not just a celebrity.
