I loved Heath in 10 things I hate about you, and even liked him in Brokeback Mountain (once I got over the gay part, It was a suprisingly touching love story) I was shocked to learn that he had died- just last week I was posting on here about Brad Renfro. It is sad that such a promising actor decided to leave our world. God bless his loved ones, especially his young daughter. Let the angels carry him where they may

33. It is so sad that he died. I am sure his death was accidental and that he had no intention of killing himself simply because he loved his daughter so much. He adored her and doted on her. I can't imagine that he would have ended his life. As he says in this video clip, he wanted to be around to share in her life and to be with her. Rest in peace Heath and my condolences to his family.

Please, TMZ, do not do a tawdry play-by-play of this incident; handle it with the same respect that so many of us had for this brilliant actor and special person.

37. How terribly, terribly sad that this beautiful young man is gone.
And, yes, it is merely eerie coincidence that Heath mentions death and dying in that interview, where he also speaks of living on for his dear daughter.
Seeing him, live, like that, and understanding that he was also in the midst of making a movie and flying between countries and time zones, it's easy to see that he was exhausted, and probably sleep-deprived/jet-lagged. In that state it's also sometimes difficult to sleep, strangely enough.
Plus, we won't ever know whether he'd taken the pills legitimately or 'kinda/sorta' accidentally taking too many, knowing that a 'masseuse' was coming, thinking that he'd be 'saved.'
Sick as that sounds, it is often the case of people seeking help to 'accidentally' overdose then phone someone and tell them, or do it when they know someone's coming. Again, none of us will know the truth unless it really was intentional and he left a note.
Whatever occurred, nothing takes away the absolute pity of his loss. May his family and loved ones be comforted in sweet memories.....

38. This was not one of his best interviews and its going to be making its rounds (with its rumors about his behavior) on the internet. These comments could have been innocent but now they look suspicious. I feel bad for his family.

41. I feel very saddened to hear that Heath Ledger was found dead. Such a young person, so much to look foward to. I loved his movies, he was such a wonderful actor. No matter what status you have in life, we are all human. Everyone has to fight thier own demons. As a nurse, I have taken care of both rich and poor, and I found that money and fame does not make people happy, people that love and support you do. And in those final moments of your life, that is what matters the most. I pray for his family. May he rest in peace.

42. what is on his wrist?? is it a bruise? and i agree it's dispicable that tmz is noting every single minute detail in huge separate posts, but obviously theyre doing something right on their part if we're reading it and worse commenting on it. Seems to me it's only encouraging it... at the same time, it could be worse... it is pretty "tabloid" of tmz to say words like prophetic and everything.. and the users comment about today being the 22nd and all that is kinda eerie, but it could be worse... im surprised they didn't make a poll voting whether we think it was out of prophetic meaning or total coincidence... shrug.

43. There is nothing wrong with people being curious as to why he died. Evidently, it was due to drugs.

The gab tabs don't "out" celebs for their heroin addictions. That's crossing the Hollywood Code of Ethics line, which is a paradoxical concept, to be sure. It's too bad a tent of protection was erected around Heath Ledger's substance abuse problems. Of course it's always convenient, after the fact (an accident, death, or suicide), to claim that the celebrity demanded "privacy" during his life. How much better to say this than to admit that the agents and P.R. people who brokered the celebrity cared more about protecting his reputation than they cared about him.

45. this is very sad just from what i seen he looked depressed or bothered buy something,i hope this was accidental,be respectful ln how u do this a parent has lost there son and a child has lost there father so sad GOD is very merciful and forever loving and forgiving my prayers go to Heath and his family.so sad :(
