31. There has been such an outpour of sympathy and mourning for the loss of this extraordinary young man. And it is so well deserved. Not only was he a brilliant actor, he was a gentle man who was true to his art. He lived his life privately, and intentionally avoided the Hollywood glitter and media attention. He will be remembered and missed by many.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

32. Heath Ledger is one actor I greatly admired and respected. He gave audiences moments that were not only unforgettable, but enlightened as well. When we lose such an artist as this, it's a loss for us all.

Rest in peace.

33. MIchelle, MIltilda and Heaths family.and friends in the entertainment world as well as personal friends...may you be able to celebrate Heaths life and remember Heaths laugh, how he sat watching reading a script, drinking a coffee, playing on the floor, or carrying his daughter, or giving advice, or while driving around, just trying to be the regular Joe he missed being. Remember the smells of working hard, scents of colonge, the way he would eat or just sit there and watch you. Embrace all of those feelings now...and smile ..let yourself smile..let your self cry...let yourself live knowing you had the ultimate privelage of knowing heath, in his prime, in his vunerablity, in his dreams and in all of his compassions.for life, for acting, for loving and for being a son, a father. a friend and a husband From our Family the Johnstones, via edmonton alberta- to all of you..our hearts are with you. May your grieving be together with those around you that knew Heath Ledger...as a quiet, loving yet complicated young man...who will be missed..by us "his Fans" Special regards to Miltilda...your Father was amazing and you met the world to him, it was in his smile, in his eyes and in his words when he spoke of you openly to the world. 34. I just watched Knight's Tale the other night - how sad that Matilda will never know the wonderful, funny, intelligent, and intense man who was her father. My heart goes out to his family and Michelle. He did a lot in his short life here. A reminder to all of us to live life fully and wtih intent every day.

35. A TRUE artisit...... in every sense of the word..... we live in times where the are so many fake "artists" but..... once in a great while, an artist come along that shines so brightly that it seems like every star dims slightly within their presence..... Heath was that star/artist...... though he did not have as big body of work like some of his peers..... his work exceeded theirs because of his sheer talent & hard work..... from independents movies such as "Candy" to his more well-known features like "The Partriot"..... he was what all artists wished we were..... Captivating, powerful, & daring..... He will forever be known as a genuine risk-taker.... one of the truly GREAT actors of our generation..... He will NOT be remembered as our generations "River Phoenix" nor will he be our "James Dean"...... He will be remembered by our generation as who he is: Heath Ledger..... A TRUE ARTIST..... in EVERY sense of the word..... Rest in peace Heath & thank you so much for everything you gave to us on film & for all the memories you have left to us..... Michelle, your beautiful daughter, & your loving family will ALWAYS be in our hearts & prays..... this is not a goodbye, but rather just a mere see you later.....

36. No one has mentioned that he was also in Lords of Dog Town. If you haven't seen it, it's a great movie. Heath was a great actor. I haven't seen Brokeback, but I've loved him in everything else I've seen him in. He was awesome.
