Britney's Bipolar Treatment Plan

TMZ has learned the general nature of the medical intervention for Britney Spears.

As we first reported, Britney is suffering from some sort of bipolar disorder. For months, Commissioner Scott Gordon has repeatedly ordered her to undergo psychological tests, but she has not complied.

Brit's divorce lawyers have devised a plan to get Brit into treatment. Sources now say it's outpatient treatment that would allow professionals to "evaluate and treat" her condition.

We're told Britney is "receptive" to the idea, but it's not a done deal. If it happens, the process will start imminently.

33. Please!!!!! I can't take it anymore...it's like having to grate my teeth and bear it when idiots can't figure out the difference between "you're" and "your." Brit Brit is not suffering from "some type" of Bipolar Disorder...she has Bipolar Disorder...period. It is "some type" of Personality Disorder. God, if you're going to freaking rag on someone, at least get your facts straight!!!!!!!!! I just couldn't take it anymore!!!!!!!

38. its my understanding that an addict cannot be diganosed until they have been clean for at least several months. i dont think brittany has been clean long enough for anyone to give any opinion of her condition, everyone needs a reason for bad behavior, bi-polar seems to be a popular one right now. get her clean and keep her that way, then diganose.

Brit needs new lawyers. . . these girls have not put up a strong defense for their client. . . they have decided that they must please this Commissioner at all costs, even at the cost of their client's rights. . . listen, if OJ can get a strong defense going, then so can Brit, esp. to keep seeing her kids. . . there are lawyers who would have this DONE already, who would've arranged conditions for Brit's appearance in court to allay her fears of confronting her smug ex. . . Brit's behavior is both common among parties to litigation and remediable, if she has competent counsel. . . call BILLY MARTIN, he'll get this worked out asap. . . Brit needs a stronger defense, rather than getting punched every time she does her best to do what is required of her. . . I'm sick of these weak-kneed lawyers. . .

44. Good luck getting her to the outpatient clinic each scheduled appointment, on time, and without fan-fare. The written agreement should include an official to pick her up to avoid excuses, and she should pay for the expense of the official's time and transportation since she cannot be trusted on her own to follow through.

Okay - let's get this straight - this girl has been quoted as saying "I'd die for my kids" but yet she can't be bothered with the inconvenience of going to court or getting much needed psychological help or even to show up for court ordered testing as it's too early for her to get her lazy trailer trash ass out of bed. So much for the "I'd die for my kids" - how about just do what it takes to get visitation?
