Britney's Bipolar Treatment Plan

TMZ has learned the general nature of the medical intervention for Britney Spears.

As we first reported, Britney is suffering from some sort of bipolar disorder. For months, Commissioner Scott Gordon has repeatedly ordered her to undergo psychological tests, but she has not complied.

Brit's divorce lawyers have devised a plan to get Brit into treatment. Sources now say it's outpatient treatment that would allow professionals to "evaluate and treat" her condition.

We're told Britney is "receptive" to the idea, but it's not a done deal. If it happens, the process will start imminently.

64. There is nothing wrong with Britney accept that she's no longer in the true spotlight. Those kids to her are "weights". If she really wanted them, issues would have been fixed a long time ago. The only madness with her is that all of think she's still a star!

67. You guys keep saying that you were the first to report that Britney is bipolar, from what you've reported no one has actually diagnosed her with that. What, do you guys have a paparazzo who's also a shrink who can attest to this? Obviously, she's mentally ill, but since she refuses to be evaluated, how can you say with such confidence that she's bipolar? Oh, yeah... because TMZ relies on speculation not facts. Silly me.

68. The only bipolar disorder Spears suffers from is constant head-up-her-assism. She is a spoiled brat who has never learned to accept that she cannot have her way all of the time. Bipolarism is a very serious mental disorder that needs careful evaluation before a diagnosis can be made. Stop bandying the disorder about as if she has a cold. Until she has been thoroughly examined, she does NOT suffer from bipolarism!

The minute she "submits" to letting a mental health professional near her, she is going to ask the court to restore her visitation rights.

I do hope the commissioner sees through this very thinly veiled carrot that Britney is setting out as a lure to get what she wants. She should now have to prove that she is accepting therapy and taking her medications on a regular basis before she is allowed any visitation. She needs to show a history of stability. Not for 24 hours. Not for a week. I'm talking a few months. 3-6 months of stability is what I would want, if I were a family member, as proof that she has shown the willingness and maturity to cope with her illness. If I were K-Fed, 3 months would still make me very uncomfortable if she was not supervised. Mental issues aside, she has some obvious problems with basic parenting skills.

The boys' safety and well being should be worth 3-6 months of her cooperation. She didn't become ill in a day and she has led the media, her family, her lawyers, the courts and the public on a merry, somewhat frightening chase, for quite some time.

It's time for her to put up or shut up, in other words. To leave custody open-ended is unfair to her family, K-Fed and most of all, to her children. If she can't control herself or seek help, then it will be time for the court to make a permanent decision. Otherwise, this could drag on for years, which would be devastating for the children.

Quite frankly, I am doubtful that Britney will ever be able to commit herself to dealing with her illness on a long-term basis. This is sad because a life-long commitment is what it is going to take for her to get better and stay healthy.

72. The only openly thing I have seen Britney display is anxiety. I have a degree in Psychology. I can give an opinion . I think that Britney waa in a comfort safety zone when she had her parents running her affairs. When she turns 18 she desperately wants to have her own life, take care of her on affairs.She meets the Kfed he offers her a fairy tale that Britney desperately wants to live. Very unrealistic, but she young.Soon as Britney gets preggo wih the first, Kfed strays. Britney fights for her fairy tale and gets preggo again.. Kfed strays again. Britney possibly gets caught up in the post partum depression. Britney now at a state hell knows any thing goes. Kfed sees a profit and he goes for it.
I think Britney grew up with a safety net. Now she is out here on her on and anxiety rules her life now.She needs therapy alright but cognitive therapy would be in order here. She needs to learn to deal with lifes ups and downs. She needs to learn its ok that we screw up and that we can change and be a productive member again.She needs to be her own safety net and not depend on outside forces to cushion the blows from day to day life.

This is not a bipolar disorder she suffers from..We are all bipolar if we wanted to use that as an excuse for unexplained/poor behavior..This whole disorder thing is bologna.

She'd break down without all the attention...She's addicted to her ownself ego..and not a dam thing more.

Her friends..and close family?..She has none..Hahahaha..:)

If she had these kids...she'd use them for attention when need be.No father figure..just attention..Even if be driving around town on her lap...

75. Oh NONESENSE! Maybe she'll show up a couple hours early for the first
session (if she shows up at all), and then she'll skip a dozen or
until the next court hearing she demands to petition for custody
proclaiming she did the sessions (whichever comes first), and on and
on and on.

And if they determine she requires a more intense setting than they
can provide, she'll bail and demand more time in front of the
judge and play the No Show that is her M.O.

She'd have the world believe she's got something more than a 'spoiled
brat syndrome, but I don't buy if for a second! She's just playing
with yawl:) I'd bet she's nothing more than a spoiled rich brat. That
and drunk off her fat ass 24/7 (Champagne Mimosas).
