More Than Five Drugs Found in Heath's Apartment

Heath LedgerTMZ has learned what types of pills were discovered in the apartment where Heath Ledger was found dead.

NYPD sources tell TMZ that nearly full pill bottles containing the anti-anxiety medications Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium) and Lorazepam (Ativan) were found in the apartment. The sleeping medication Zopiclone (Lunesta) and the sedative Temazepam (Restoril) -- which is used by people with "debilitating insomnia" -- were also found.

All of the drugs were prescribed to Ledger.

31. Temazepam mixed with any of the others could be super dangerous. If one Dr.Prescribed these, they would be negligent.

35. too many drugs in the mix, maybe too many doctors. Drs. are as bad as drug pushers. People go from Dr. to Dr. to get as many scripts as they can.Prescription or not, a druggie is a druggie. People rationalize to themselves that it's okay because they're prescription drugs, or think the drugs are harmless. The more you take and the more combinations, the more messed up your head and body become, can be lethal.

42. Those are all very commonly prescribe rx's. He was very open about the fact that he was suffering from severe insomnia. Perhaps he was trying different combinations to get a good night sleep and took a deadly combination. People who are sleep deprived have even more poor judgement than a drunk person. Add that he had jet lag and maybe a respiratory infection, It's easy to see how it could be an accident. As for the rolled up bill, maybe he got it out to tip the massage therapist or to send the housekeeper out for a couple of grocery items since he had just gotten back from Europe/. I often fiddle with a bill when I'm wating to give it to someone. Snorting coke is not the only explanation. RIP ,sweet Heath!

43. You TMZ IDIOTS!!!!! Temazepam is a MILD anti-anxiety/ sleep aid. Why do you always have to exaggerate everything??? All of those meds are mild and regularly prescribed by general physicians. The combination can be lethal, but any person of barley average intelligence can understand what not to combine. This situation is absolutely tragic and TMZ is inflaming it with this second guessing and uninformed commentary. Just stop it and let the friends and family heal and the man rest in peace.

44. Zopiclone is NOT Lunesta. Lunesta is a single isomer of zopiclone and is actually eszopiclone. If it was in fact zopiclone then is is a drug only sold outside the US. Also, the usage required to OD on zopiclone alone is over 350 mg!

45. Doctors are mondern day drug dealers. Why doesn't law enforcement start cracking down on them like they do street criminals. Prescription drugs have been the drugs of choice for higher income addicts for a long time now and yet you seldom hear of their dealers getting arrested unless they get the drugs on the street.
