Where is Jake Gyllenhaal?

Jake GyllenhaalJake Gyllenhaal has yet to be seen or heard from since the death of his close friend, Heath Ledger -- and people on the set of his new film are working hard to keep it that way.

Gyllenhaal is in New Mexico, currently filming his new movie, "Brothers." We're told there are no plans to shut down production, but Jake is very upset and doesn't want to talk to the media -- so the set has been closed to non-crew members and extra security has been hired.

Jake is the godfather to Heath's daughter, Matilda Rose.

17. On top of all that, the church group self-listed as godhatesfags is going to protest at his funeral and plan on saying some really nasty stuff about him just because he was in a film! That like saying that Heath's co-star, Christian Bale really is Batman! What a bunch of nasty, horrible people! I wish I could go to that funeral- armed with a bat!

21. Who can blame him for hiding. One of his best friends just died and instead of being allowed to grieve with dignity TMZ is speading false rumors about Heath's death. TMZ has reported all sorts of false and unsubstantiated claims that have all been found to be false. apartment belonged to an Olsen twin, drugs found stewn around the bedroom, etc etc and additional rubbish.

Fox news has just reported that NO drugs were found on the dollar bill. Sad TMZ can't report the truth also!!!!!

26. in touch weekly just released the fact about heaths body being released to the funeral home..

Following an inconclusive autopsy this morning, In Touch can exclusively reveal that the body of actor Heath Ledger has been moved from the morgue at the Medical Commissioner’s office to the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Grace Burgess, a spokesperson for the medical commissioner, confirms to In Touch, “The body was picked up this afternoon by the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home.” As for why the body left the morgue, Grace says, “We are still doing tissue and toxicology testing since the autopsy was inconclusive. It could be anywhere from seven to 10 days until the cause of death is out.” George Amato, the general manager of the Frank E .Campbell Funeral Home, tells In Touch, “We have been asked to take care of the body from those who are in charge of him and to remain discreet.”

28. Who exactly is it that needs to see or hear from Jake? He is no doubt grieving over the sudden loss of his friend and should be left alone, along with Michelle and the rest of Heath's family and friends.

29. I'm glad that the people working with Jake are being so adament about protecting his privacy during this difficult time. Just as anyone who has ever lost a loved one can tell you, the last thing you want is to have to answer alot of questions ( like "how do you feel?" well how the hell do you THINK I feel????, etc..), or be bothered by anyone, no matter how well-intentioned they might be.

of course he's nowhere to be seen or heard... he's grieving the loss of a friend.
when someone loses a loved one-- he/she shouldnt be expected to give a press junket.

show some respect and leave people to mourn in their own way...
