Brit's Pal Grilled Like a Cheeseburger

Sources tell TMZ K-Daddy's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, was all over Sam Lutfi, Brit's close friend, like white on rice during his deposition today.Britney & Sam
We're told the depo, which ended just before 6:00 PM, covered a wide range of issues. Sources say Kaplan asked about the meds Brit takes, where she goes, what she does at home, what she drinks, and on and on.

Kaplan also asked Lutfi about his relationship with the photo agency X17 and specifically whether he and Brit have a financial deal where they help X17 get pics of Brit and in return get moolah. X17 has denied there's any deal.

We're told Kaplan asked Lutfi about his income and where he gets it, how he supports himself, etc. We're also told Kaplan asked him about six lawsuits in which he was reportedly sued. We're told Lutfi answered that most of those suits were against his father.

He was entitled to have legal counsel attend the deposition with him. Counsel's job is to object to the form of the questions (for example, if the question is a compound question, or if it is vague or ambiguous in some way, so that later it would be difficult from reading to transcript to koiw whether Lufti was answering the question that was intended or was answering it according to a different understanding than Kaplan had). But he still would have been reuired to answer all the questions -- he would not be able to dodge the questions about his conversations with Britney, about her pill-taking, drinking, etc. However confidential she might have intended those conversations to be, it is irrelevant. They are not protected by any privilege in the same way her discussions with her attorneys would be confidential.

184. I'm not a fan of KFed but Britney did this all to herself. She has shown nothing but complete disrespect for the whole process. As a mother I would die if my son was taken away from me & would do anything to get him back. She treats this as a big joke & is showing the public that she's either above the courts or doesn't want her kids back. She needs to get help & care about someone other than herself.

When are they going to give K-FED a deposition...He seems to be having alot of strange woman at his home..some even smoking and drinking at his home.Dose the NO DRINKING around the KIDS still apply...And speaking of Pictures..Didnt K-fed take pictures with the boys not to long ago and came out in a magazine. Is this agreement only for BRITNEY or does it also apply to him..I Hoping that K-FED is being policed in the same manner as BRITNEY, which I doubt. I'm so surprised that NO ONE is a really looking out for the KIDS. Everyone is looking at Britney and who's looking at K-FED who by the way is a KNOWS DRUG USER...

186. K-Fed is a money whore and is in it ONLY for the money. He wants those kids about as much as he wants crap. He wants Brit's MONEY. His whore lawyer doing his song and dance with this man is only for the MONEY. He cares nothing about the kids, K-fed, or anything other than the MONEY. All any of you want is the MONEY. Either because you want it or you are pissed because you don't have it and can't get it. MONEY, is what these brit haters want. 189. However much of a lowlife K-Fed is, the fact remains that he is playing the game intelligently and Britney continues to shoot herself in the foot. The courts favor mothers in custody disputes, and all Britney would have to do is to behave like a semi-responsible adult, and she'd still have visitation rights and probably custody. However, Britney keeps managing to do almost everything possible to make sure that she loses her own case. Not showing up the other day for the custody hearing that _she_ called is just the latest in a long string of self-destructive incidents. The reason that K-Fed isn't being grilled like the folks on Britney's team is because Britney is refusing to cooperate with her own lawyers, who could do a lot to even the score against K-Fed if they were given the mandate to do so. In other words, the reason that K-Fed is prevailing and Britney is going down the tubes is soley and 100-percent due to Britney, herself. She is seriously self destructive and misses few opportunities to strengthen K-Fed's case.
