Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis was on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today, ostensibly to talk about his current Oscar nomination -- but instead made an emotional statement on the death of Heath Ledger.
Breaking away from Oprah's prepared questions, Lewis choked-up as he spoke of the late actor -- even though he "didn't know him."

411. If Daniel Day-Lewis gets emotional about your death and respects you as an Actor. You have made it in history. Heath was a great actor. The fact Daniel-Day Lewis who along with Christian Bale is the best actor in the world, responded to your death like this means you were a great actor.

Cos Daniel Day Lewis cares so much about hsi image, it's why he makes a film every few years and prefers building things, why he never attends premieres other than his own, why he has no celebrity friends. This is Daniel Day-Lewis, the guy doesn't care about his image. He is only helping out PTA by promoting There will be Blood. The dude does a movie whenever he wants and doesn't even have to try since he's one of the best actors of all time.

Maybe he would make a movie more than once every 5 years and take up all the offers every director gives him. 417. No one has the right to assume Heath was a drug addict and the person that posted that about him being a junkie is just a rude ignorant person. Just because he was an actor doesnt mean he was a junkie and that he couldnt have died an accidental death. Dont be heartless he had a family and people that cared about him and theyre prob reading this and it wouldnt be nice for them to see what you wrote. I dont think you would like it if someone spoke like that of one of your family members that past away suddenly. Get a life. If you dont have any nice to say dont say anything at all.
