Mental illness, like physical illness, can legally be classified as a handicap. If she is having difficulty complying with court order due to her mental illness, then her lawyer can fight that stickingt her with her ex's legal fees due to noncompliance is discrimination.

Britney seems to seek compassion,and does her day..to day life surrounding herself where the cameras are..The attention this girl needs snubs her own kids out of her life.She goes out of her way to be hounded by the press,and the photographers.

Even caring people go to bat for children that are not there own..more so than Britney does,and ever has for those two kids.

Mental illness is a cop out excuse for her...she is using this whole situation for publicity..Nothing more.

It's fortunate for Britney's kids that she has to cough up the legal fees for K-Fed...If not for that,him standing up for what's right,and wanting a normalcy for the kids life,and justice for both parents...that Britney's lawyers would of riped anybody a new ass if they were challenging..a call a 1-800 lawyer number out of a phone book.

I don't think he's out to drain her bank account..but when you face a person with unlimited funds..I feel justice is served having both parties equally represented...Britney on the other hand can't even keep a lawyer representing her..with all that money?

She didn't even know any better not to drive around with a one year old around town on her lap...She'd still be doing that,but the law,and the publics concern had to say.."No Britney...you can't do that"

She's use to getting her own way..and comes off behind the wheel like she has a licence to get away with anything...I don't see any mental illness.just her ego,and her farts don't stink kinda attitude.

She has nothing to claim in court as far as a mental illness...She's Britney Spears is all she can shed light on.

The only career this woman has left is the attention she can attract for herself...In a few more years..it'll be over...Nobody is gona care anymore.

She could easily avoid the lime light...but she's so addicted to the camera flashes...because it's all she has left.

No more tours..or big sold out stadiums in Japan,or anywhere else for that matter.

Just her children that gives her a spotlight now....It's really sad because there are kids involved.

Her stupidity is what attracts us now...not for what she accomplishes anymore.

Kevin is holding the family together....Give the guy some credit.

114. I think TMZ throws another side to the story..than those that just assume someone who is famous,that their farts don't stink.

Britney is more/was more of a role model for alot of teens back in the day...Kids..children...What adult gets into her music now?..I have NEVER heard it played..other than children.(13 year olds many years ago)

I could just imagine the crap this girl could get away with...without somebody saying "hey look".

TMZ might be the ones who give her kids a normal life....by pointing out the pathetic danger,unhealthy up-bringing this girl would put them in.

If it was up to Britney..these kids would have so many camera flashes in there eyes..they'd have a seizure before their 5th birthday,and still riding around on her lap,and learning that parking in handicapped spots is acceptable.

She'd call them all,and let them all know her daily schedule as well...They always seem to show up like clock work..Teach them that when ya get a flat tire,to just abandoned the car in the middle of a intersection etc...

The list goes on....John Gotti did a better job raising his kids...Even Michael Jackson does a better job than this attention addict could ever give those kids.

Surprisingly 99% of us could never get away with the crap she does...I'm thankful for TMZ showing all of us how stupid some people are...

If the truth hurts...then don't read the TMZ News..They don't fabricate crap..they get to the bottom of it.

118. I bet Britney is probably a likeable person in a one-on-one situation. She is smart, but has learned to get attention when she plays the dumb girl. Sam seems like someone who values his friendship with her. She seems to appreciate him. I haven't ever read any dirt on him and if there was any then I'm sure someone would have found it by now. I think he is probably a decent guy who has found a person who actually needs him. I'm sure he enjoys being her rescuer -- the exact opposite of a bottom feeder. Actually makes him a decent human being.

Please reread my earlier statement. The reason given by Kaplan for her picking up his tab wasn't because she was the one with the most money, but because she was in noncompliance and was at fault. If she can not comply due to a handicap, then he can no longer use that as an argument. He can still argue she needs to pick up his bill because she's the one with the money and the court can consider this. PR wise it just doesn't sound as good and wasn't his first choice. This last choice keeps reminding people that K-Fed is a bit of a dead beat.

Having sat through two Fair Housing and anticrimination courses for work, I'm not unfamiliar with the law as you would like to paint me.
