121. Britney is Anna Nicole's story - on steroids - if possible. Instead of just one HKS - you've got Sam and Adnan. Instead of 1 baby - you have two - and if she really wants to make another in the middle of this mess? As for her $100 million - she's blowing it so fast. I hate to think of what she's going to be like at 35 - if she makes it that far. As for the paparazzi - you know it's just starting to look like that scene in "I am legend" where those rabid dogs and crazed vicious humanoids are pursuing someone. She's not completely innocent - but she needs help - and unfortunately she's surrounded by people hounding her.

Brit - if you're reading your own press - get yourself out of the country or deep into the backwoods of this country where you're not surrounded by all this crap. Pack away the cell phone. And take some time to ask God for help - and listen.

125. 96. The reason Kaplan has received $120,000 from Brit so far in lawyer fees is because he claimed it was her fault for being in noncompliance of court order. Now here is the rub. if it is proven she is mentally ill then she can be declared handicapped and he will be unable to use that as a reason to collect his fees from her. K-Fed might actually have to fork over some money to pay this junkyard dog of a lawyer.

I realize this board is almost extinct, so I'll just quickly address this. I want you to explain what laws back up the following..

I want to see the CA laws which would remove Britney's obligation to pay legal fees if she were to be considered handicapped. How would it matter considering Britney is earning the $$ she's getting from royalties? She would receive that $$ regardless of a disability. A disability would not effect the money she receives monthly at all.
Oh, and I don't have to prove you wrong. If you say something, you should be able to back it up. You act as if you know the laws. I just want to see which laws you're using to come to that conclusion.

126. I would like TMZ to clarify something I found hilarious... Kaplan wants to know if Britney or Sam are getting paid by X17 for pictures. X17 said no. HOW is that any different than TMZ profiting and let's be honest, Kevin and Kaplan and possibly the commish, over ONLY unflattering pictures of Britney with crude and rude captions???? Because X17 doesn't show so many of those or that they appear to be fair to all celebrities? Even if there were a deal with that agency so what? It's not illegal nor does it negate her standing that other photogs stalk her! Apparently they don't do that to people, hello live feed.
I think Britney should get an evaluation but I do not think it's appropriate for Kevin to not let her babies see her. Why can't HE for once try and help her? Maybe he could meet her with the kids??? People do it all the time. They will have to work together at some point for the kids' sakes. They are so young and despite her issues, she loves them and they need to see her.

Well, Elphie, I didn't "paint" you as anything, as I made no comment about you personally. HOwever, you may infer whatever you wish.

The award of $120,000 attorneys fees to K-Fed WAS on the basis that Britney was the party with the greater financial means. It covered the fees for the proceedings up through August -- before Britney's noncompliance with the custody orders were issued. The next application, whenever that may be filed, will probably raise the issue of the expenses caused by her refusal to abide by the court's orders and conditions on visitation, the need to schedule and pay for multiple depositions, as well as the emergency hearing that she requested, only to bolt before entering the courtroom to give testimony about her meltdown on January 3. It could be a very risky legal strategy to argue mental illness is her defense for noncompliance, because that would pretty much seal the deal for her not to have any sort of contact with her children, but then again, Trope & Trope might take that tack in their exercise of judgment. In any event, I doubt the "I was incapable of complying" defense would have any impact on the court vis-a-vis its orders granting attorneys fees because California law pretty much ties the commissioner's hands by basing such an award on a means test, and let's face it, Britney has the financial means with her self-reported monthly income nearing three-quarters of a million. Also, while the court might be sympathetic that Britney's mental condition contributed to or caused her to be noncompliant, the court would also be mindful that K-Fed nevertheless was put through great expense to seek enforcement. In the end, a defense that Britney was incapable of complying might relieve her of sanctions for her conduct, but it is not going be successful against an award of attorney fees.

134. Someday I hope to understand the cruel nature of people. Britney Spears is an entertainer and an artist. She possesses genuine talent and enough of it to bring her great success. In doing so she has never been malicious or hateful. Most who have rose to fame are subjected to the capricious attitude of the public. If someone does something that is not to your taste and if your not being forced to watch what they do or how they behave then turn your attention to those things that do not engender in you oppressive negativity. Please examine why you are driven to be so cruel. Most of all be thankful that every last detail of your personal life is not scrutinized by the public. I genuinely wish Britney the best and hope that she can figure her way through this confusing world. Reality is what you make of it.
