Lets Get This Party Started
Heath's Masseuse Made Four Calls to MK

The masseuse who found Heath Ledger's body actually made four calls to Mary-Kate Olsen when she discovered that Ledger wasn't breathing, say cops.

The AP reports that Diana Wolozin spent nine minutes ringing MK before she called 911. The celebutwin's bodyguards showed up to the scene just as the police did.

Today, Ledger's family will arrive in New York for a viewing at a Manhattan funeral home.

Dude Tries to Crash Miley Gig – With Plane?

A teenager from northern California was nabbed by the Feds after he allegedly wanted to crash a flight from L.A. -- into a Miley Cyrus concert.

The unnamed 16-year-old had handcuffs, duct tape, rope and other items with him on the flight Tuesday, and though there was no incident on the plane, the FBI says he had a plan to hijack the jet. "He had some general plans where he was going and indicated where he wanted to die."

Even though Nashville media have reported that the plane was going to be directed to Lafayette, La. to interrupt a Miley Cyrus concert, it seems that the concert was scheduled for today, not Tuesday.

Star Tells Media – Back Off Heath!

Star Jones -- who knows something about being hounded by the media -- is telling the media that they should "shut their mouths and stop all the speculation that's been running rampant."

In a column on the Huffington Post, Star says that the media should "let [the family] grieve" and that Michelle Williams is "trying to figure out how to explain to their little girl that she will never see her daddy again."

She adds that the scene outside Ledger's SoHo apartment the other night "made me sick to my stomach."

Party Favors: David Beckham Not -- Repeat Not -- a Threat to Environment

So that item floating around about David Beckham having a huge carbon footprint? Turns out, we're told, that the Carbon Trust never made such an allegation, and that the whole thing was a hoax, so says the Carbon Trust itself.

31. If a 5 year kid can call 911 and tell the dispatch there is a problem, then WHY THE F**K can't an adult who finds someone unconscious? If he was STILL snoring and then they couldn't wake him up and noticed he wasn't breathing.. HELL.. they should have called 911 FIRST... I don't know if it would have saved his life or not, but it makes more sense... Like she had to call MK to see what to do before making the decisions to call 911??

39. Number one, what the hell is Star doing commenting? Is she personal friends with him? Then shut up bitch. Number two, posting this under "let's get the party started" is rude, offensive and inappropriate and you all look like idiots for having someone having to point that out to you. Number three, that idiot in his hotel room should have called 911. Just because someone is unresponsive doesn't mean they are dead. He could have had a pulse. Second are precious when there is something going on. Bitch probably doesn't have her green card and poor Heath died because of her assanine procrastination. The scene outside the hotel was shameful. I don't need to see his body in a bag. Just knowing the poor man died was enough and someone needs to stop these idiots.

40. I totally agree. I think unfortunately paperazzi will do anything for the "FIRST PICTURE" of anything, and if it means stooping to try and get a picture of a grieving widow/ex-widow they will do it. I think they need to crawl back into the hole they came from and get REAL JOBS!!!

41. She ( the masseuse ) called Mary Kate at the suggestion of the housekeeper who was aware that Heath and Mary Kate were very close friends and assumed that Mary Kate was in New York, not California, because at first she thought that Heath was only unconscious, not dead. A few moments later when they realized he was not breathing they immediately called 911 but Mary Kate had already contacted her security team and sent them to Heath's residence.

As for what Star Jones said, I completely agree with her. Let the family grieve in peace. They lost a father, son, brother, lover, someone that they loved,

Imagine the person that you love more than anything in this world, if they were being treated like Heath. A frenzy of media descending upon you like rabid animals, defiling your loved one with the worst possible things that they can say about them, how would you feel?

This isn't a person who had been arrested for DUI's and begged his mommy in court to "fix it" so he wouldn't have to go to jail, or someone so drunk that they wrecked and killed someone, no, he wasn't one of those pathetic celebrities, he had no history of drunken or drugged mayhem.

He was a father who walked around Brooklyn teaching his daughter her left from right.

42. In this celebrity infused society and this up-to-the-minute gossip laden world of the Internet, it not necessarily shocking to see the craziness that is surrounding the death of Heath Ledger. The nightly news carried "Breaking News" headlines flashing across every screen and programs were interrupted in order to report his tragic demise. Bloggers such as Perez Hilton and celebrity rags such as TMZ and the like are parading non-stop updates on his life, his last moments and his devastated loved ones. Bombastic air bags such as Nancy Grace are reporting, as always, speculation as fact. Our society hungers for the sensational and we seem to thrive on tragedy and drama!

His death is apparently fodder for all sorts of theories. People are crawling out from the wood-work and are being asked for their reactions. Whether their words are kind or not so kind, whether they knew him or did not is apparently not too important. However, they are obtaining their so called "15 minutes" and that is what this world seems to be about these days - fame and those falling from it!

Let us not forget that there are incredibly relevant and important issues that we are facing - the economy, an unwanted war, an election, etc. It seems that the death or rehab visit of a celebrity is so criticial as to garner top reporting spots on newscasts or to warrant "breaking news" interruptions.

The paparazzi are camping outside his home, his ex's home, his parents home and the funeral parlor. There is non-stop flashing of cameras and photo-ops as the bereaved arrive and leave.

Apparently his parents heard of his passing through a news report. His family was not even notified of his death before the press and the paparazzi were stationed outside his apartment photographing his body as it was wheeled away.

With the advent of the Internet and other such high speed means of communication all privacy is seemingly lost. A star tripping on the sidewalk is front page news within seconds of their plunge to the concrete. We eat it up with a cherry on top, devouring every morsel of the sensational self destruction of stars - "cause they're just like us!" Or is it that we wish to be just like them!?

And so the world watches in rapt horror and judges a man at the end of his life. People post comments and speculate as to "the how" and "the why". Somehow these comments are then reported as fact and regurgitated endlessly and somewhere there is a family member who becomes a bit more haunted by these words.

Are we so hungry for tabloid scandal and celebrity that we fail to grasp that this was a HUMAN BEING!? Yes, he was a talented actor and he lived a portion of his life the public view. However that does not give the world a license to invade their bubble of grief in such a formidable way. What people seemingly fail to grasp is there is more here than the tragic and early death of a young actor.

Death, by its very definition, is a sad occurrence but a fact of life, nonetheless. Death, whether we want it to or not, happens. Dying young is tragic. Leading every news story and invading the lives of those left behind is reprehensible. Because he played roles on screen his death is more important than the thousands of others that die each day? And more importantly, that gives us the license to violate the small bits of privacy that could be and should be left?

Whether the death was intentional or accidental it does not take away the fact that this was a man, a son, a brother, a boyfriend, and a father. There is a child! A family! Heartbreak abounds and no one – NO ONE – is giving them the space to grieve or to just be.

We should all bow our heads in collective shame and allow this family to mourn in peace.

43. Masseuse is dumber than her hair. If you live in New York and are a regular patron of a masseuse, you might want to check credentials REALLY well next time. This one is too stupid to eat.

44. For heaven's sake people, public attention is why these people pull down 10 million dollars or more a movie. The price of fame is attention, even in the worst of times.
