Is Clemens Ready for His "Moment of Truth"?

The most popular new show on television is giving former Yankee pitcher Roger Clemens a chance to clear his good name -- and he can pocket a cool half mil in the process!

The FOX show "The Moment of Truth" -- which premiered to 23 million people on Wednesday -- sent a letter to the Rocket's manager, asking Roger to appear. Contestants on the show are asked a series of questions while hooked up to a polygraph machine -- and then have to own up to their answers in front of an audience comprised of their friends and relatives.

Howard Schultz, creator and Exec. Producer of the show, says Roger can put the steroids question to rest once and for all -- and donate his winnings to the charity of his choice. Schultz writes, "People have stood in awe at your incredible accomplishments in baseball. This show could let the world know that you are an incredibly courageous person, as well as to clear your name in front of a nationwide audience, all in the name of charity."

Calls to Clemens' management were not immediately returned.

31. Um, 9, what do Monica and Val's eating habits have to do with their assessments of Roger Clemens veracity? I think he's lying and, for the record, I prefer Oatmeal Raisin to Chocolate Chip. I don't think he's a pathological liar but it would be difficult for him to admit to juicing now.

BTW, Tarot Cards can be very accurate if done correctly by someone who really knows what they're doing. It's astrology that is inaccurate because it's based on the placement of the stars 3,000 years ago. The stars have moved but astrology didn't.

33. I don't think he could pass a lie detector test whether it was in a private setting or on TV. He simply won't do it. He's had a lifetime of awards and accolades and his attitude is he owes no one an explanation or solid proof. This, despite all the other baseball players who have been found to have taken steroids. He's got to know this issue is going to haunt him unless he clears his name. He was payed millions and part of the game appears to have been steroids to compete with others doing it.

34. Fox needs to put some of their own people on there. The 2 people that Fox needs to put on there the most is Rupert Murdoch (CEO of parent company News Corporation) and Bill O'Reilly.

35. "Baseball" - Val & Monica are ready to say guilty as charged! That kind of radical neoliberalism is perverse! HGH & steroids were not illegal for baseball back when dates were outlined by the bogus Mitchell report which is a pack of heresay & lies - government has a love for doing this at times.

The Val & Monica duo need to be charged with something serious to sober them up from a cookie high - then have to prove their innocence via $1M lawyers - me I have been lucky but have reviewed enough cases to know innocents get abused - even famous ones!

37. I used to work for a bank. There were signs saying to ALL employees. You have the right to NOT take a lie detector test. If banks feel it's bogus, then, well, it is.......

45. Moment of Truth is the worst show I have ever seen... who is the moron that passed the airings? Way to slow - plus, it's obvious they got actors like that last moron with the fake hair.... why is it that actors many times are the worst actors because you can tell by their manneurisms, dumb looks, dumb comments, facial expressions etc.. he and his crew were actors.. I thought that fake crap went out in the 60's? Dumbest show I have ever seen.. it will be off the air in 1 week.
