Memorial Service for Heath Held in L.A.

A brief memorial service was held for Heath Ledger last night around 8:00 PM on a rainy night in Los Angeles. It was attended by Heath's immediate family and a small group friends -- including former girlfriend Naomi Watts, according to several different reports. The service was held at Westwood Village Memorial Park.

The AP is reporting that Ledger's body is now en route to his native Australia. Ledger's rep had said that no public memorial had been planned for Los Angeles.

196. I know it does not matter but I hope the media stops saying he was a rising star -he was a consolidated actor and somehow misunderstood becaus he did not understad either in his own humble being how crazy the industry is.
He just wanted to act which was his work and income.
Michelle and Matilda I hate that this is so unchangeable - I questioned God over his passing - he had yet so much to show us.

198. This is a true loss. I feel deeply for the family in this time of great loss. As for the funeral being closed, Good. Celebs are people too and they don't need their bodies laid out for anyone and thier cousin to go look at. Let the man and his family be at peace and mourn the way a fan can. Remember him and feel deep sympathy for his family.

201. Garrett, you're an idiot. Nothing has come out about his being a loser. You're just saying that because he was successful and you are nothing. If you've been following the case, there is absolutely no credible evidence that he had started using again. There was no evidence of sufficient drugs in his system for that to have been the cause of death. NONE!!!
Please pay attention to the facts before posting again.
