31. And who's fault is it she hasn't seen her kids in almost a month, UH...HERS! IF she had gone to court when she was supposed to, etc. She would have at least supervised visitation with her kids, they are better off without her if this erratic behavior continues. Her mom is there now so I'm sure that will be a BIG help, NOT! She has two kids, both with HUGE problems, she shouldn't have pushed them in the limelight at an early age, look where it has gotten them.

35. COME ON PEOPLE. GET REAL. Yes it is sad that the judge has suspended her visitation but there are reasons behind it. It takes a lot for a judge to suspend a mother's rights to visitation with her children. There is stuff going on here that we have no idea about. There is something wrong with this girl and until she gets help it is best that she stay away from the children. We see how she is living, Can you imagine what she was doing with these children when she had them.

38. This story is just sad ... Britney Spears is a HUMAN BEING first and foremost; one with probable mental illness and someone who deserves compassion. The public insists upon sexualizing these young girls (Britney, Lindsay, Paris, Anna Nicole), then delights in tearing them apart when they can't handle the pressure. It's "Be a virgin but be a whore." Nice trick ... Meanwhile, the boys not only get a pass, but heaps of sympathy and compassion when THEY become trainwrecks (Owen Wilson, Heath Ledger, Brad Renfro, even Kiefer Sutherland). Even worse, the sexism is so pervasive that the girls even sometimes get the blame for the boys' problems (Kate and Michelle's leaving to blame for Owen and Heath's drug problems - umm, no - those addictions existed LONG before K and M came onto the scene). And don't tell me it's all about the children, either ... Heath, Brad Renfro and Kiefer all had (have) children also ... I feel DEEPLY for anyone with mental illness and for those have fallen into the grip of addiction, male OR female. But why pick on the girls so much when these celebs are all just HUMAN BEINGS with the same weaknesses, insecurities and fears that we ALL share - only their foibles are magnified a 1000x over and put on display for all the world to see?

I don’t agree with you two. The mental evaluation should be done before she should have any contact with her sons. The custody hearing isn’t about humiliating Britney. It’s about protecting her sons from emotional, mental, and physical damage.
The “stand-off” was more harmful than the public knows about. There were eye witnesses, who testified to the Commissioner about what happened. The Commissioner decided that there would be no more visitations until after a full mental evaluation, not Kevin.
Britney’s plan to skirt around this requirement, by calling for an emergency hearing didn’t work. Must likely, her attorney told her she would have to waive her doctor-patient privilege with a private psychiatrist for it to fly with the court. We all saw what happened … Britney left.
