Rebecca Gayheart Has "Car Issues" ... Again!

Car drama seems to follow Rebecca Gayheart wherever she goes.

Although "car issues" almost kept Rebecca and her "McSteamy" husband, Eric Dane, from getting to the SAG Awards last night, luckily -- it was just the battery that died.

31. TMZ- shame on you. I hope Ms. Gayheart rises above this latest cruel joke from you. You've just lost this reader.

32. Rebecca Gayheart is a really nasty person.

We were at a coffee house one time where she was sitting and smoking up a storm - one cigarette after another.

We were trying to figure out amongst ourselves another table to move to because of the cigarette smoke.

Rebecca Gayheart eavesdropped on our conversation and loudly started mocking our need to get away from the smoke, and she kept making really exaggerated childish mocking faces like 5-year-olds do on the playground. Clearly she was defensive about smoking.

She was really weird and nasty. One of our friends was being treated for emphysema, and another was pregnant. We didn't say anything to her but her extreme rudeness and invasiveness momentarily tempted us to approach and ask her if she has to kill everyone in her path.

Instead, we ignored her and quietly moved to another table. A minute later, she left. Nasty person.

33. That was just wrong! I don't expect a lot of class, but some decency would be nice.

35.
Really low, TMZ. You just lost a reader. Bad enough when you made fun of this the first time. The blurb writer should be fired and you should offer an apology to Ms. Gayheart and your readers. Disgusting.

36. TMZ-very cruel and disgusting comment. She made a terrible mistake. A child had died for it. For you to joke about it is DISGUSTING. I am ashamed that I visit your site when you guys can joke about a child's death. The joke was NOT FUNNY and in bad taste. You should really think about fire the person who wrote that. To the person who made this joke- GO TO Church and FIND SOME COMPASSION!!!!!

37. There is nothing funny about the accidental death of a little 9-year old boy on his way home from school. His name was Jorge Cruz Jr., by the way. Are you really so untalented or uninspired that you need to use child tragedy as a punchline?

38. TMZ would rather make a joke out of her accidently killing the little boy.

Just for them to make a joke about a little kid's death.
It just amazes me there are scum like this and that they could make a joke out of this 9 year old boy's death.

39. It is shocking how people will defend someone because they are on tv

That poor child was killed because Ms. Gayheart was absorbed in her cell phone conversation, and despite the clear red flag of 2 street lanes stopped for the child, Ms. Gayheart apparently felt her time was more valuable, and she did not need to stop for anything, so she SWERVED around the lanes of stopped traffic and struck the crossing child.

When you are driving and both lanes are halted, that is a clear sign to stop. Duh. And pedestrians always have the right of way.

It is sick how people will fault a child for crossing the street to defend an actress's narcissistic and reckless behavior.

40. what a TERRIBLE intro...even for TMZ...''the late .....'' So tasteless...what if a family member read that...and Thought even if for just a minute, before they read your stupid bid on her...that she had died...Y would you put that into words like that?

41. She made a horrible "mistake" that SHOULD haunt her for the rest of her life! #15 "Anya" you write like you know for a fact what happened. Are you a part of her PR Team or something? Last I heard, she WAS on her cell phone, and the poor kid was in a crosswalk, and from what I remember, 8 or 9, which is old enough to cross the street on his own. You say she went around traffic because she didn't know it was stopped? What, the brakelights and the fact that they were not moving isn't sufficient enough to determine that first of all, the cars are stopped or stopping, and second of all, that there is probably something in front of them causing them to stop? They would not have charged her with Gross Vehicular Manslaughter if her actions weren't negligient. She got off easy because of her over-paid attorneys. We are supposed to feel sorry for her because she put her lucrative acting career on hold for 2 years to get therapy? What about the family of the child, how much therapy do you think they need? Seriously people, how can you defend her? I agree it shouldn't sound like a joke, but I also don't think we should just pretend it didn't happen while she gets the hot husband and more million dollar acting gigs. She should have to be haunted by it everytime she goes to some meaningless award show or hollywood party!

42. Thank you #37 & #38 for putting the name and age of the little boy,( Jorge Cruz Jr, age 9,) and the real facts of the case, (that she was on her cell phone and swerved around 2 lanes of traffic that were obviously stopped for a reason,) Anyone who says TMZ owes Gayheart an apology is so insanely starstruck that they have lost all human decency. The only people that are owed an apology are Jorge Cruz Jr.'s Family! Would you be apologizing to her if it were your son? I've been wondering why she was able to come back to hollywood so seamlessly after such a horrendous act!

45. Dear 41-42: Please point out where anyone is making a judgment about the culpability of Ms. Gayheart or defending anything about the accident. Can't we all agree whatever the case, TMZ shouldn't be making jokes about it? It's not funny if she was at fault, it's not funny if she wasn't.

Someone should be fired, but either way TMZ lost more than one reader.
