Brandy Grilled About Fatal Crash

Brandy is currently being deposed in the civil case stemming from that fatal car accident back in December 2006. TMZ spotted Brandy being dropped off at her lawyer's office today in a gold Range Rover.

Last month, in a long-awaited decision, the L.A. City Attorney decided not to file criminal charges against the singer, whose car struck the vehicle of Awatef Aboudihaj on December 30, 2006. Aboudihaj, a mother of two, died the next day.

Aboudihaj's husband is suing Brandy for an undisclosed amount.

Being under the influence of marijuana significantly impacts a person's sense of time and space and would, therefor, impact someone's ability to safely operate a car. Based on the investigation, the woman did hit the car in front of her which is what caused the sudden stop to her vehicle and lead to Brandy rear-ending her as well. The DA didn't press charges against Brandy because the woman's own actions were significant contributing factors in her death. I'm no fan of Brandy but the civil case would have just disappeared after the investigation was completed if Brandy didn't have deep pockets.

19. And by the way Deb, if you know that mich abotut he case you would know that the district attorneys office found that the driver was at fault for her accident becuase the California highway patrol said that the driver Aboudihaj actually struck the car in front of her and then slammed on her brakes before Brandy made contact. It's funny how that whole little detail which lead to criminal charges not being able to be persued agaisnt her slipped your mind.

I do think that the dead lady shouldn't have been on the road with MJ in her system, if she had been getting her high on at home, she'd still be alive.

21. However, doesn't MJ stay in the system for 30 days

She could have been smoking the MJ anytime 30 days prior to her death.

22. Again for all you ididots in here. The reason shes nto in jail right now becuase legally she was nto at fault dumbass's. California highway patrol said that the driver Aboudihaj actually struck the car in front of her and then slammed on her brakes before Brandy made contact. Why should she have to pay money when the police found her to not be gulity and can't press charges agaisnt her. You people just want to see people be brought down by any means becuase yoru all so miserable. If shes not at fault there's no debate.

23. *8. miss cocoa for brains. Being under the influence of marijuana, if she was, has nothing to do with a car impacting your car resulting in your death.

Suck a brain cell. You may then be one up. Dumbass.

BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE ALTERS YOUR MOTOR SKILLS. AND BY YOUR COMMENT YOU MUST BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF SOMETHING(IGNORANCE)! LIKE I SAID SHE SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANYTHING. I DO FEEL FOR HER FAMILY BUT SHE COULD HAVE ENDANGERED OTHERS AS WELL BY TAKING THAT CHANCE. I STILL SAY IT IS A CLASSIC CASE OF TRYING TO GET MONEY FROM A CELEB. IF SHE WAS THAT GUILTY SHE WOULD HAVE CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST HER. SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO SUCK ON A BRAIN CELL OR WHAT EVER IT IS THAT YOUR ON!!!!!!!!!

24. you dumbasses should know what you're talking about before judging someone. Last months charges were dropped cuz they could not find anything to charge her with. Its easy to blame somebody who's better and richer than you but she didn't do it get over it dumb bitches damn.

26. What difference does it make . The driver was responsivble for her accident regardless of the means AGAIN the district attorneys office found that the driver was at fault for her accident becuase the California highway patrol said that the driver Aboudihaj actually struck the car in front of her and then slammed on her brakes before Brandy made contact. WHAT DON'T YOU DUMBASS'S GET ABOUT THAT.

27. And scince she victim struck the car infront of her unprovoked , I'm willing to guess the Maruajana in her system did have something to do with the acciden't .

Posted at 2:33PM on Jan 30th 2008 by Memyself and I

28. #6, #15 OC and Miss Cocoa- I'm with you on this one. In this country, you sue those with the deepest pockets regardless of fault. The stoner caused the accident. Period. Brandy is a victim of the system.
Wake up folks, these kinds of lawsuits are only adding fuel to the fire. Other countries laugh at us. We should be ashamed of our behavior! I'm proud to be an American, but it's getting harder all the time.

29. Well actually Memyself and I ... I never claimed to 'know so much about the case' however I have been ass ended at a red light and I can tell you it's pretty hard to tell who hit who first. Since the one lady is dead and the other guy is what 80? don't tell me it's cut and dry who hit who first. Witnesses mess up facts all the time. The only 'facts' I could find on this was TMZ reporting that some 'source' told them that the dead woman hit the man and then Brandy hit her. And sorry but the whole 'pot' issue is vague as well. How much was it, how long does it stay in the system, a few spoonfuls of Nyquil would probably inhibit your driving more. Not saying it was all Brandy's fault but she does hold some blame as well ... as would be anyone who slammed into stopped traffic.

30. Brandy is lucky that the explosives in the other car were not detonated upon impact.
