Celebrity Justice
Britney Being Treated for Her Disease

If you think Britney Spears doesn't give a crap about getting help for her condition, think again.
Britney Spears
Multiple sources tell TMZ Britney has seen numerous doctors. We know that she's seen a new psychiatrist who has come to her home every day this week and that she's on medication to treat her bipolar disease. We also know doctors have indeed concluded she suffers from bipolarity.

Britney has seen doctors who have been referred by other doctors, plus doctors who have been referred by celebrities Britney knows, and doctors referred by her lawyers, family and friends. We're told the process has been excruciating for her, partly because her disease is severe.

Sources tell slightly different stories about the efficacy of the medication. A friend says when Britney takes her medicine she is like "a different person -- normal and sweet." But she takes her meds for a while and then feels as if she can live without it -- so she stops taking them -- and her condition quickly deteriorates. But a professional tells TMZ flatly, "The medication just isn't working."

That same professional tells TMZ, "She's really trying. Whether it works -- we'll have to see." That person also says it's extremely frustrating when the media shows video of Britney out on the town acting crazy, adding, "She has a disease. Sometimes when you see her she's in the middle of an episode. It's like mocking someone with Down Syndrome."

76. TMZ, you suck. You're not doctors, and are reporting things as though you are the voice of authority; you're causing more problems with your obvious lying. In truth, you're a bunch of bitchy gay boys & lesbians, bitching about things you don't know about to cover up your miserable failures as human beings. You all suck bigtime...

77. 23. Bushwa!!!!! This is PR spin as the public's disgust for this self
absorbed jackass continues to outgrow her career. She is responsible
for getting proper treatment if treatment is needed. If she were not
able to make rational decisions and were a danger to herself the
hospital would be able to secure an involuntary commitment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No. being able do make rational decisions does NOT necessarily imply that someone is suicidal or a danger to others (except for her kids, and when she's allowed to drive). There are plenty of people walking the streets everyday (many homeless) who are in full psychosis. There's still NOTHING they can do until it can be proven she's suicidal or homicidal.
78. Will she just kill herself already? I'm getting sick of hearing about her everyday. It should have been her instead of Heath Ledger!
79. The commentors should use the internet for good and read up on mental disease before they make their ignorant comments. They may even be able to self-diagnose. And TMZ, you are to blame in part. Leave her alone. That crack about downs syndrome was directed at YOU. Leave her alone, quit making fun of someone in the depth of mental illness. Stop hacking on people over their religion. Stop making fun of people who are aging normally. Grow up.
83. What a sad story. She is like a kid so who will watch her or force her to take a pill. I am glad the boys are save can u imagine if she hurt one of those kids because she refuse to take her pills. She need to move in with her parents because she has no one to supervise her since she is 26 going on 12.
89. 29. If she actually has a disease, which I have a hard time believing, then why doesn't she keep her ass at home and her episodes out of the public eye? She's a media whore and I'm not buying this BS! She needs to wake up, grow up and shut up her damn whining!
I seriously think it makes her feel special and important. Up until yesterday, I don't think she realized that the paps were actually making fun of her. I think she has serious self esteem issues. Look at how she dresses and the fact that she rarely looks clean. I think it makes her feel good to be told she looks nice, which is why she wants the paps with her wherever she goes. They are the only fans she has left.
90. I just wanted to add that there is a program called TRUEHOPE and the book that is written about it is called, A Promise of Hope & it is an amazing story (true story) of a family who greatly suffered from Bipolar Disorder & are now living life to the fullest by taking a vitamin/mineral supplement called EMPower Plus. I know it sounds corny. But read their story, it really is amazing, also Truehope website, just google it.
