Studdard Sues -- Not Everything Peachy Keen

Fallen "Idol" Ruben Studdard can barely find a place to sing for his supper these days, and now he's suing a concert promoter called Peachez Inc., and he's asking for more than lunch money!
Ruben Studdard
In a lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court, the "Idol" star wants $45,000 from Peachez, alleging breach of contract. The Dallas-based company describes itself as "a specialty marketing company" with clients in the "entertainment industry." We've called Ruben's lawyers and Peachez, but so far, we haven't gotten a response.

It's all going downhill for Ruben, who just got canned by his record label after his latest album tanked.

16. thanks goodness AI ratings are on the downward spiral. They're still kicking eveyrone elses butts, but not in the ways and numbers they used to...America is tiring of it all, given the overpaid and hyped judges, the nerds who can manipulate the vote counts, and a general English snooty attitude towards all Americans.

It will go the way of Who wants to be a Millionaire in another 2 years....bye bye Regis, I mean Simon.

19. I saw him play at a doll convention in Toronto... he was long over.
But he was entertaining. His crew wasn't. ..

21. It's called SHOW BUSINESS . . . and "business" is the bigger word.

People don't get it! It's WORK folks. There's a ton of people in the entertainment word, and the audience is a fickle bunch.

To be on top of the BUSINESS you have to work . . . and HARD!

Britney did, but she was way too young to have this type of "business" on her shoulders. Look what happened to her. Look at Michael Jackson . . . that Hanna Montana chick will be a good one for follow-up on in 10 years time.

It's hard to balance work, and the "show" part. A lot of people want to think it's easy . . . and when you are catapulted into such success you can take it for granted, as this Ruben is doing. He's lazy, and did not put forth the effort that this business requires.

22. Leave the Kentucky Fried Chicken alone, strike a deal with The Biggest Loser, and take Jerad's place for Subway's spokesperson. Your singing days are over.

23. Ruben has a wonderful voice! As many have already said, society does not appreciate such talent. I encourage Ruben to continue doing what he is doing and use the talent that he has been blessed with.

26. In the case of Katharine McPhee, your looking at a young lady that also needs to get a reality check. She has blasted RCA and Clive Davis blaming them for her dismal album sales. She would not even be popular today if it weren't for almost showing sexy photoshoots.Remeber that yellow dress mishap? Was it on purpose to gain popularity? Then to top it off,she has chosen to fall in love with a 43 yr old failure which may show that not only Britney in the need of mental help, but Katharine might need some also. Her diehard fans better wake up and look at the real katharine mcphee!

27. WOW!! It amazes ME how you people can be so critical and insulting without the FACTS. Ruben is VERY Talented, and has been blessed with a a smooth, soulful voice. If you took the time to go to a concert you would see what I'm saying. Some people act like he's been out on a sabbatical or something and all along he has been doing shows, touring, been in a play and has done events for children. Where are YOU People when he is out doing this?? You always want to focus on the bad and not report the good. I have supported him since day one and will continue to do so. Ruben is not hurting by any means and he will continue to fly high and rise above this as well. Keep ya head up Ruben........ We Luv you....

29. Ruben has an excellent voice! The only down side to his singing career is that he hasn't worked with a label that can specilize in his style. He is better of pursuing a new label. J Records did not serve him justice for the type of singer he is. For one, Ruben is not a hip hop or pop singer. He is a smooth R & B and gospel singer and when he works with a Entertainment label that understands that he'll do better than he has before.
